Thanks |
you can start it no problem. i don't see why it is an issue.
Yup.
just jump in and start it... if it doesnt start.. jump it. as for your tires.. 4 months I dout would do anything to them.. |
Just start it,and drive it. It will be fine.
your good man just start it then go go go
For a four month hiatus it should be fine. Just remember to turn the key to accessory and leave it there for 30 seconds to build oil pressure, then start it and you're good.
umm don't you mean fuel pressure instead of oil pressure?
You can crank it over, but if you want to go carefully about it since there is no oil in the head, etc. You can pull the plug on the coil (and fuel pump relay if you want) and crank it over a few times to get the oil pump moving before you start it normally.
Let it idle for a little while..then do a burnout out of the garage. |
how about just pull the fuse for the fuel pump instead. A lot easier IMO

Drive the thing .. no but seriously it will be fine.. |
if u didnt drained the oil/coolent from the motor u should be good to start...
i dont why anybody stores a civic...seriously its was made to be an economy car...i know somebody is gonna argue and say that o well my car has this and that mod so that why i store it..at the end of the day no matter what u do to it its still a civic..
if you store it, for gods sake put fuel stabilizer in it. Store it right.
Oil change before you put it away, park it on cement if not in a garage, full tank of gas with fuel stabilizer in it ran through for about 15 mins, steel wool in the tailpipe(s) to stop rodents, and dryer sheets under the hood and inside the passenger compartment, rodents dont like them. Mothballs work too. That's if you're storing it over the winter. And don't forget to pull the battery out, and when you go to re charge put it on a trickle charge. Dont overinflate tires either, leave them at proper PSI. |
