For 4000, U might be able to do an h22 swap, .

You can rule out b18c5 and K series.

For what you're looking for...your car to be faster, then your better off getting an H22.

Get your motor and other engine pieces from Teknotik.
http://www.teknotik.com/product_sect...disp.php?id=33

As for the install....there are a few people on this board that could do it for you. Scott 93hb si is definately one of them. Scott newman could too, and imported2nv.

Definately go for the H22A.

Don't bother with a B16 imo.

go to club si and look for this.
1993 B16A2 Hydro tranny with LSD (all JDM version) so clean you could eat off it
Type R cams
Mild Port and Polish
Spoonsports master ECU 9200 redline 4800 Vtec hits
GSR wires

Motor pulls hard, no grinds in tranny.... Car was written off last year.... stupid explorers tailgating and smashed the trunk in. Looking to get rid of car and motor all in one shot, i just dont have the room to store it anymore or the time to swap the motor out.

Car also has Koni Yellow Suspension with Skunk2 Drag Launch springs but i plan on taking them out unless i get a nice offer

What the car has left?
Denji Projectors
Euro (3D) tail lights
White face cluster
full GSR suspension (4 wheel disc) has Blue Hawk pads
Black Interior (teg seats in the front but they are bent)
rear sway bar
front sway bar
2.5" Exhaust all the way back with mandrel bend
K&N CAI

$1200 OBO takes it away, just get it out of here! and it's a 1995 DX Coupe (Dark Green)

H22. Full package's are cheaper than They've ever been. Decent Torque and they fit EG's and Up no problem. If your leaving the Motor stock its probably the Best bet. More torque than a B, Cheaper swap than a K. And there geared pretty tall which is great for the Highway.

K20A Type-S - $7000-8000 - NO PS, NO AC, RAD RELOCATION
B18C5 TYPE-R - $5000-6000 - COMPLETE W/ PS, AC, ETC....
B16B Civic-R - $4400-5000 - COMPLETE W/ PS, AC, ETC....
B18C1 GSR - $3000-4000 - COMPLETE W/ PS, AC, ETC....
CRV B20 w/ type-r tranny - $2500-3000 - COMPLETE W/ PS, AC, ETC....
B18B - $2000-2500 - COMPLETE W/ PS, AC, ETC....

any combo w/ TURBO = NO AC, NOT RELIABLE...

that should give u a insite as to what u should expect for parts and install....i dont care what anyone says, ive done all the swaps for tons of customers so i know what to expect.....is a H22 a good choice NO...

thats what u should expect

for the K20A swap u need

MOUNTS, AXELS, HEADER, LINES, FUEL RAIL, FUEL PRES. REG., TEMP SENSOR MOUNT, etc... lots to remember and the prices for install are about $1400-1500....

and for the H22 u gotta remember the same

MOUNTS, AXELS, ETC....

+ in both swaps u have to cut the floor to install the shifters.....since they are cable....which leaves u at the last swap....

IN CONCLUSION:

the best swap for a EK is a B-Series swap, depending on the amount of money u have, check with the last post...

Markpa : Yes thank you for pointing that out...

for zyhper..dont assume people on this board do not know what we're talking about. We have the internet, and have just as much access to all the information as you would have. I was once in his shoes, i wanted something faster, researched it all, b16's, b18's, b20, ls/vtec, h22, but i went turbo route instead.

this way, i got to keep a/c w/o having to mod brackets or get an a/c mounting kit etc, and i can have my car as low as i want with out having to worry about ripping of my oil pan/downpipe etc.

My turbo D makes more torque at 3000 rpm than an h22 will at any range of its powerband.

turbo d series 9 psi = 212 whp 205 trq... with good tuning and stock internals! ITS ALL ABOUT TUNING!

H22 whp i believe minus 20% should be around the 170-180 range, with a lot less torque.

just go with the gsr for a nice daily driver. it's tons cheaper than the type R motor and if you ever decide to do any motor work it won't be that much work and $$ to reach the R motor numbers. your turbo D makes decent numbers but how long is it going to last?

turbo-ing a car does not mean its gonna break down faster..

its all about tuning, letting the car cool after driving it hard..etc..

and a dseries motor is less than a quarter of a price compared to a gsr.
