I'm partial to chryslers myself... So i'll say '92 Stealth. You shouldn't have much trouble finding a high-mileage one for $5k.

Buy a 5Gen Coupe for $5000, Spend $1000 on a nice set of used rims and tires, and spend the remaining $1000 on suspension, Exhuast and maybe a front & back lip.

wow Gatsby, I didn't know that you could get a suspension, exhaust, AND front and back lips all for $1000. Where DO you get these deals??!

maybe he's talking used....

or

Tom's motorsport coilovers 100 bucks from AW (or so ....I'm basing this on the last price I saw posted, and I'm rounding because I'm lazy)

900 left

use stock shocks .... (who cares about handling your going to drop it to the max anyways)

thats 900 left

get a exhaust axle back thats around 200 used....

700 left

now get a front and rear lip ... (around 300 used ....)

so thats 400 left

hmmm maybe some used shocks if your lucky.... or I's suggest a short ram intake for around 200 (used of course)

thats 200 left ...

so maybe a rear sway bar or a front and back strut tower bar... all used of course....

I do not support doing this as it will not be any good for your car might as well do it right the first time....

true ... but your still in high end mode.. the listing I gave there is all low end ... and the exhuast is only an axle back ... not a cat back....

It is very possible. You find some pretty damn good deals in classifieds here.

Used springs (Nuespeed or H&R) $150
Slighty used Tokico blues or AGXs (They get the job done. thats good enough) $300
Custom cat-back with muffler from Dr. Muffler in Scarborough $450
Front or back used lip for $100

Thats $1000

So what that these aren't high-end stuff. Its not like you're gonna race the car all summer long anyway. So why would you need Koni or Greddy or Tein or other Sh*t like that.

With $2000 you can get yourself Good handeling, nice looks, and a bit of performance. Thats all a daily driven car needs.
Plus at the end, your car might be around 0.5 second slower that the Mr. high-end user anyway. Well, if you shift quick and have a bit of driving skills, that 0.5 sec. wouldn't hold you back neither.

if your still 21 under i would sugest getting something older say 1995 or earlier or insurance will rape you especialy for an import.

what are you using your car for?

is it going to be winter driven?

do u want power, style, or comuter?

Thats just some of the baci info you need b4 deciding what kinda car is good for you or prefrences made to a car

put that towards a BRAND NEW ECHO 2DR HATCHBACK.

it's super light. it's brand new. new everything, no problems, warranties, toyota build quality, great handling, there will be performance upgrades in the future because there's a huge cult following in japan, since it's been around for years as the VITZ / YARIS.

come on, don't buy another civic. the fad's over. most are selling civics anyway to get into the RWD scene or to buy something new. j/k

so i guess if you really want a civic, it's the best time to buy, prices are rolling back like walmart. and if you were to go that route, i'd go for a 96-98 civic hatch. manual tranny of course, also find a nice bodied one, original paint, and un-altezza'd by teens.

ROFL...

for 500$ and free mods you do yourself you have a 13 second car man...

but that main thing is, spend 3 or 4g's on the car itself, then the rest is going to be on maintenance

Engines/Trannys/Clutches/Driveshafts/Turbos, basically everything, like to go on that car and goodluck on finding one that hasen''t been beaten to ****

quick though.

How about a del sol. they are a bit more original then most civics and they have lots of potential.
