Its a great time to buy one. 3.8% interest rate , no admin fee, no gas tax....

Aftermarket parts are readily available.

which dealer are you going to ?

imported_Team Rukus 14-Jul-2003 11:47 PM

wait like a couple months and the 2004 will be out and then u can saveeeeee alot of money by getting the 2003 or you can just opt for the 2004 and have it as a last year of the 7th gen kinda thing.

g_50b 14-Jul-2003 11:56 PM

well if i wait till 2004, i wont get the intrest rate i want. I live in Ajax so i will be going to a dealer in this area. Anyone have pix of a done up silver si?

I have no pics, but I can tell you that one of our members has a most impressive silver Si, and I've seen no others that come anywhere close to being as immaculate.

I'm not sure, but if you come out to our meet at Kennedy Commons on Wednesday night, I'm sure he'll be there.

g_50b 15-Jul-2003 12:31 AM

where can i get more info on this meet. im new..

Buff 'n Stuff 15-Jul-2003 12:41 AM

It's our official weekly meet, and it's held at Kennedy Commons Tim Hortons in Scarborough. To get there, you'd be taking the 401 west and exiting at Kennedy Rd.. People arrive around 8ish pm and stay until whatever time they want. If you're wondering what we do while we're there... show our cars, socialize, drink coffee, etc... we're pretty easy going.

Well I drive a 03 civic lx coupe and I like the car. A few things that I don't like about the car are the blind spots since I'm used to not having any cause I usually drive a hatch. I find the large armrest gets in the way of spirited shifting, and also the lack of a drivers left armrest.

The back window seems to be impossible to keep clean even though I don't smoke in it, and I don't like that there is no trunk popper button on the remote.

Other than that I like the car and I'm glad the g/f bought it and lets me drive it.:D

bbarbulo 15-Jul-2003 08:39 AM

Badass car, I totally wanted to pick one up... :( then I heard how much insurance would be

Legacy73 15-Jul-2003 09:03 AM

Another thing I don't like is that it has rear drum brakes in order to make the car a lillte cheaper they'll didn't include disc.

g_50b 15-Jul-2003 09:16 AM

yea rwd was a lot of fun. And since no one really has S14's around here, it was really rare and ppl use to ask me what car i drove. I guess that wont be happening anymore..

Looks pretty done up to me, it is a project car for AJ-Racing in Vancouver.

EP, great car and I love it, too. My gf also loves it but we figure change your ride every 4 years isn't practical for us cause you will always be paying monthly payment.

Enjoy your new car!

Oh WAIT.... SI, not SiR.... naw I wanted the SIR, but the SI is a nice vehicle too.

Si Veloz has the nice silver Si. Actually he has the Veloz edition which comes with the skirt package hence his name.

I love my Si but when it comes to aftermarket parts, they are available but just not in a huge variety unlike the older generations of Civics. Cost for the parts are a bit more expensive sometimes due to it being the most recent edition to the Civic family. But give it a bit more time, more parts are coming out and prices will come down too.

Hehehe...of course the other route around waiting is to get stuff custom made.

As for blindspots, I've gotten used to them. Just gotta be a little more careful backing in to a parking spot though. Big difference in tail end size compared to my old EF 4-door.

Also I got my alarm package upgraded from the dealer so I have trunk release via the keyless remote. Only problem with that though is they use the standard remote which does not have a trunk popper button. To release mine, I have to press a combination of ARM, DISARM and then ARM again each at a one second interval. Annoying at first but that too I have gotten used to.

New LX and other than the same problems that legacy73 says(esp the rear window) it's a great car.

I do have two intermittent rattles, one in the drivers door, and one on the front right of the dash.

I'll get them checked at my first service!!
