Game Over!

I was driving down Erin Mills prwy tonight doing the speed limit (70kph) when I hit the Dundas interscention. As I was going through it the light turned yellow and a Cavliar in the opposing turning lane turned into my lane.
I hit the brakes and lost control of the car. I hit a lamp post in the middle of the interscention and needless to say my car is pretty much gone.

The cop was very nice to me and looked after me well. Tow truck guys where nice too.

What sucks is the guy in the Cavliar took off. The cop said he didn't see the car but believes me that there was one there. However, he still had to give me a reckless driving ticket, approx $330 and 6 points. He told me to take it to court, which I'm doing tomorrow morning, and fight it. Hopefully it will be dropped.

I had finally just decided to keep the car and I was just about to put a down payment on rims.

Man, this sucks. I'm ok though a bit sore in my chest and knee and I will go see my doctor. Just thought I'd post so you guys know.

Don't apply for court right away, wait until the last day and then do it. Gives you more time, plus there is a better chance of them leaving it off and automatically dropping it. That worked out for a few of my friends, chances are slim but still worth it.

Good luck.

Why did you take a day off work? It takes about 5-10 minutes to apply for a court date for any ticket be it wreckless or speeding. Anyway, i am just sorry for what has happened, you know i've been through it all so i know exactly how you feel.

I took the day off cause I work far away from the court house so I wouldn't be able to get there in time and I work 7:30-4, Monday - Friday.

what pisses me off is my ES Master Bushing Kit just came in.

I just want to get this over with.

On another note, I might get an EK hatch, 96-98. Cheap, 5spd and no rust

dude when you called me ,,,well when I called you back while I was on the 401 I was shocked ...that so royally sucks ....but I'm glad your ok.....

The car may be a goner, but the important thing is that you're ok!

Hopefully insurance will cover everything and it all gets worked out!
