96 si sunroofs go into the roof.

To convert to an Sir:
Brakes, Shocks, Springs, Anti-roll bars, tailights, dash, complete interior, wheels, sideskirts..

Not really worth it, IMO.

if you just want a visual 'conversion' then I think you've got it covered. but your drum brakes and your HVAC controls will always give you away even to the layperson

Why not just buy a 99SI and save yourself the hassle and cost. Change the grill, add the front lip and paint the skirts. Voila, instant SIR.

There are low K 99SI's in the trader for around $9000 for nice ones. The 96SI's are not that much cheaper. Factor in the cost of all the parts you mentioned and paint for the swap and you could buy one of the nice 99's.

the thing i suggest for you is, get your self a nice 4-door LX 96-98 and do a 99 sir front end and sir dash and some minor things, and ur set being 17 doesnt go well with insurance and a 2 door coupe....keep it to a 4-door...

A moonroof would be the kind that tilts and slides back into the roof. A sunroof is usually just the kind that tilts up.
