Forbes' "Worst Cars of All Time"

Interesting little read, sad to say that a Japanese favourite has landed on the list. But don't worry, it isn't as bad as you think.

Forbes' list

(You gotta click for the slide show so that you can read the little blurbs about the cars... took me a while to figure that one out)

That Renault Dauphine takes 30 seconds to reach 100km/h! And I thought that our torque-challenged Civics were slow!

Clearly Honda understands this.
Clearly, Fiat, Renault, Lada, etc. do not.

Fiats and Renaults are pretty good cars now. They've learned from their mistakes..

Yep, not a bad list. Of all the cars I know it was the 84 Fiero I hated. It was a great concept that sucked until the final year and then they canned it!

Hey, my parents had a Hornet

Hey, my parents had a Hornet too. It was a 1974 2-door coupe (or whatever they called them then). They had it until 1983 when it was replaced by a Chevrolet Malibu station wagon. Guess what? my dad drives a 1991 Honda Accord now. He has finally learned.

Come to think of it, that Honda has basically outlived every other car my father has owned. The Hornet's body fell apart after 9 years (the engine was still pretty good though), the Malibu died after 8 years, he replaced the Malibu with a 1991 Ford Aerostar van that he still has but is on its last legs. He only drives that when he needs to pack it up with stuff (for short journeys anyway) and the Honda is still going strong. It was originally my grandmothers and my dad inherited it. He caught up all the maintenance that my grandmother missed and it is still going strong after almost 13 years.
