Nope never got it replaced lol, spent the money on the seats instead, soon tho, do I smell a group buy?

(I got quoted 230 from Buddah on the board, G2 Racer found a place near his work for 300, so I'd prolly go with Buddah)

You should take it to a glass place and have them look at it. They might be able to fix for a lot less then a new windshield but they told me the chip has to be fresh. For my 95 Hatch I was quoted $200 to replace mine.

Talk to your insurance and see if they will pay!

The place by my OLD work, Woodchester Auto Glass, wants about 250-300 to replace the whole windsheild.

ITS A CHIP NOT A CRACK

How in the **** is a crack...or a chip for that matter "REPAIRABLE"???? theres nothing they can possibly do to fix it can they? the chip isnt that bad from the inside...but on the outside it looks like a little white circle

I'm pretty sure you can get that fixed.

I will probably run you between $40-$80

As for insurance? **** that, you don't need that on your record.

Those buggers keep track of everything.

apple auto glass. $50 to fix it. I got the same thing exept a little smaller. It won't disappear but it'll look better and it won't ******.
Looks like you got it in the same place as I did. Right in the line of site. As bad as it sounds, you'll be reminded of it everytime you get in your car.

Well if the crack is not reparable, you should have with your insurance a windshield replacment policy without increasing your premium. Like I am allowed to replace one windshield per year without any increase.

I got 3 chips on my windshield. 2 have been repaired and then I received the 3rd one just short time after I repaired the 2nd chip. Wasn't too pleased with that, but I plan on taking it to this shop on dufferin st near yorkdale. Dude charges 30 bucks no tax as long as you pay cash and he does a pretty good job. I gotta do my third crack some time soon.

dude main thing is stay away from big rigs on the highway that's the first thing i did when i got my paint job those biatches throw rocks left right and centre. Next do not go through your insurance even if they tell you your policy won't go up it will be on your record and they will eventually get more that twice the price of a windshield out of you, beware !!!! Another thing where are you located ??i just got a crack on my windshield like three days ago and i need o replace the windshield, calledaround to a few places $315+tax and $350 i say fu*k that **** , there is a place on victoria park and just north of lawrence, right across from mcdonald's . It 's a samll shop forgot the name he said 230 taxes in new windshield and new seal the whole new whole seal trim that's real good I am going to get mine fixed there not sure when though it is pissing me of but i dont want to get it fixed and have it happen again. This is my original windshield that came on the car and it's a 91 that's 12 years it lasted pretty good. especially around winter time there is a lot of crap on the raod i will get it fixed by spring for sure though. Let me know if you want in maybe two of us can go and well get a better deal

If the chip is in the driver's line of sight (on the driver's side of the windshield), legally auto glass places are not supposed to repair it. When doing repairs, there is also a small chance that the entire windshield will shatter. I have a small chip in my windshield, and I learned all this when I went in to see how much it would be to fix it. My chip is alot smaller, so I just decided to leave it as is. BTW, a new windshield from the dealer is $400.
