ECU Tuning/Flashing Software?

So at the end of this year Aug-Dec I will be expected to finish a major project, that is a complete & working solution. When I started thinking about it, I came to the idea that I can write a program that will help with tuning / flashing an ecu, or even real time engine monitor / on the fly tuning.

If I could get input from tuners, and people experienced with the pin-layout or i/o settings on a honda ECU, this wouldn't be too impossible for me, (or even a popular / cheap standalone / add-on unit).

If someone was to help me with it, they would get the say in what features and functions this program would have, and some major input on user interface. If anyone is interested please let me know as I have to decide soon on what to do for my final project.

Any Input would be great :P

sounds good The more people the better, I need to start out simple, then once I get the basic program design done, I can expand, the more people and input the better!
