Question Fill up at same gas station?

ok, so i always fill up at shell mostly for convenience since i have an easy pay tag.

i heard that it's best to consistently use the same brand i.e. shell, petro, esso, etc. but i've also heard that that's a myth. so which is it? just curious.

doesn't different gas station do a lil of their things to the gas itself? coz i know petro canada has some gasline anti-free stuff in their gas during winter time to prevent gas line freezing up so gas runs more efficiently to prevent your car from failing to start..

and sunocco is the only gas station as far as i know that has oil at octane 94...

i've also had a friend who had his car gas up at shell for the past 10 years (an old volvo haha), but one day he missed the shell and gas up at an esso... he just gas a lil to get home... the next day, the car couldn't start.... and the mechanic try many ways to fix it... later on, he flush out the gas tank, fill up some shell gas again... it ran... freaky but true... maybe its a pure coincidence in some sense... this world is full of wonders sometimes who knwos

I don't stop at those random Beaver stations, or 7-11, or ones without even a name, just "Gas."

It's probaly all the same but I heard that the low budget ones "may" not have the additives that you need. I don't know if that is true, how much additivies are usually in regular gas? I only see Petro Canada advertises that they have it.

Sunoco always for me. I'd try and stay away from the budget ones as-well. Heard bad stores from those places.

well, Beaver is basically Shell gas, and 7-11 purchases gas from Petro-Canada.

When I was about 16 years old, I was working at an Esso Gas Station, and based on the reviews with a friend that worked there for a while, Esso was graded one of the worse.

I also seen on some 60/60 show, that they say "Gas is Gas" regardless how you look it, and based on my experience, I really see a difference when I pump with SUNOCO, and that's the only gas station with the highest octane level, with very little stations.

So in my opinion, based on my research and experience, I would say Sunoco, even if you aren't pumping 94.

Sunoco FTW!!!

Sunoco uses better additives to reach to their octane levels.

and yes most companies get same crude oil but the way they develop, process and reach their octane is a whole different thing. Each company uses different process to develop their fuel. Sunoco uses better additives during their production process then other companies.

the worst thing is.... esso is everywhere......... its so convenient...... when you see a shell, you see an esso, when you see a sunocco, you see an esso, when you see a petro, you seen an esso.. and anywhere else you don't see sun, pet, shell, you still see esso hahahaha

i just gas at esso... for the sake i get my RBC reward points for esso gift cards and i can also get points bumping up at esso... so each year i'm getting like about 100-150 bux of free gas... doesn't sound a lot.... but to those who feel like 2 cents per L difference is a lot of money... 150 bux is a lot haha

i might be switching to use sun roughly before my next oil change... i'm gonna get CAA

Regular Gas is fine for your Civic.

Read my above choice, go Sunoco.

You don't need Octane 94.

some gas manufacters use slightly different addictives, but in terms of safety, its fine if you use different gas stations. I always go to sunoco because they have the lowest sulpher content
