Ricers = loud fart *** exhaust, fake badges like Mugen when they have nothing of Mugen parts, gay nozzle lights, ricer driving pose (seat all the way back with one arm hanging on the steering wheel), alcheezas, grocery cart wings, bling bling hub caps or rims on a Civic, driving with strobe light on, ugly *** boddy kits, doing drive bys around the parking lot..., the list goes on

JDM = Japanese Domestic Market
EF = 4th Gen. = 88-91
EG = 5th Gen. = 92-95
EK = 6th Gen. = 96-01
E? = 7th Gen. = 02-present
I also suggest the following link @ Honda Japan Website:
http://www.honda.co.jp/HOT/ModelData/civic/index.html
As for USDM
We have different codes.
e.g. Mine 4th Gen. is ED6 instead of EF2

Well Rony, there are all kinds of people when it comes to the Import Market.
The term Rice Rocket was referring to the Japanese Super Bikes in comparison to the American Choppers. Later on, it gets abused and people started to use the term on modded Japanese vehicles. Then these days, Ricer is basically naming people who mod their car with poor taste, or useless parts that doesn't actually add any performance value and sometimes, even slows down the car, or creates annoying situation. i.e. noise pollution.
JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) is just another term for "Made in Japan" really. Japanese envy American culture while some North Americans and other Asians envy Japanese's stuff. It is just a neverending cycle. And it all boils down to "I have something that you don't have" or "I drive something that is different from yours" or better yet "My car is rarer then yours".
But let's not get it mixed with "sour grape" mentality. What other people have doesn't necessary mean what you have is a piece of crap - just because it ain't Made In Japan. It is about getting what you need and what you like. Such as, lower your car because you want better handling, instead of just for pure looks and spend a few dollar getting something that will bring more trouble down the road, give you a bouncy ride and feels very uncomfortable.
Some well known Japanese brand does have their merits when it comes to modding your car. But as far as making my car looks like a factory Civic out of the Japan Honda production plant, or buy interior pieces that makes my car look like one even, is useless to me.
The bottom line is, at the end of the day, it is I who is spending money on my own ride. Not the next door Joe Blow.

believe it or not there is a ricer in the club...
he has a 5th gen hatch which is a "type r", personally i didn't know honda made type r intergra's before 95... but clearly i was mistaken there....also the car in question is a cx... and automatic....
theres nothing wrong with driving a cx... as gatherer can show anyone they can move... but an automatic 5th gen civic type r is just wrong
