I wonder if Honda would even do a swap? But the Civic Si is only 127 hp unless you are referring to the SiR?

In any case, if Honda did swaps, they'd break your arm and cut your left nut off for it to happen LOL

Doubt they'd keep your warranty.

Honda says that they'll do the install for most aftermarket products if you want (or even their own).. but if something happens to your car as a result, your warranty does not apply.

The 2002 Civic Si is like 114 torque and 127 hp.

Definately not worth it to get from an LX to an Si engine, you gain minimal, there will be no further warrenty on your vehicle. Wait 2 more years and than about a decent swap like a K20.

It's from the day you purchase your car. I bought my car in July... therefore.. I still got like 40 months.

Ali, definitely not worth it. The VTEC motors and automatic trannies don't work that well together. I remember driving a 6th gen Civic Sedan and a 1.6 EL (both automatics) and I could barely tell the difference. It was hard to get the EL into the VTEC zone without flooring the throttle pedal. The 7th gen is a little more noticable but barely.

Just my $0.02.

The RSX-S engine changeover costs $5500-6000 USD. That'd be worth it IMO. But then again, if you sell you car and spend the swap money on a new ride, you can prolly get a Type S, so...depends on what you want.

Must be different... even I as the passenger can feel the difference when iVTEC engages in my dads car.

The 6th gen and the EL are both the same cars, just EL is a little more plush, but the EL has the D16Y8, same as the 6th gen Si, but the iVTEC is diff because it is not in the EL and Si.

Yo Ali, warranty at Honda is crap anyways. They will almost always give you the run-around on everything. If something busts on your car than you will have to argue with the general manager for hours before you get anything (if you're lucky). It's just not worth it.
