Emission Test at CT

So i had my Civic's emission test done at Canadian Tire a couple of weeks ago. It passed but i had a funny conversation with one of the technicians....first the results:

At 40KM/h

HC ppm - Limit 75, Reading 6
CO% - Limit 0.42, Reading 0.08
NO ppm - Limit 0576, Reading 8
RPM 2041 Valid
Dilution 14.68 Valid

At Curb Idle

HC ppm - Limit 150, Reading 7
CO% - Limit 0.7, Reading 0.02
NO ppm - NA
RPM 752 Valid
Dilution 14.72 Valid

I was a bit nervous although i dont have any engine or exhaust mod at the time. So this guy calls me to tell me that here are ur results...you passed but i have a question..so i said go ahead...and he goes did u recently used any injectors or cleaners in the car's gas or do u have any engine mods? I was like WTF...lol...no...i didnt use anything like that. Then he says to me...ok...those are good results and have a good day.

Now...i only care about passing the test...i dont care about good or bad results....but im curious if someone can tell me what these numbers mean????

The Civic has original 105K KMs.

Maybe because many of your numbers are very low (limit vs reading, etc.), he though you might have cheated by using something to enhance perfromance or to help your engine run more effeciently. You car is 7 years old and he might have thought it should not have scored so high.

it doesnt matter you passed but the
HC`S is the hydrocarbons "unburnt gas"
CO`S is carbon monoxide " partally unburnt gas"
NOx`s is high if the combusion chamber is too high in temp something like a EGR would cause those problems

your car passed if it has mods doesnt matter it passed under the specs for a vehicle of that make/year and model

i dont see what the problem is with what he asked.
he simply wanted to know if you used any form of engine improvement liquids or solids specifically to pass this emission test. and if you did then technically speaking yes you did cheat and that should technically make the test void because it is a temporary fix to fool the computer sensors and realistically your car is a polluter.
