Eg Cai

hey i am just wondering what is so diff from a cold air intake use for a 92-95 civic EX/SI D16Z6 and a stock 94 CX.
i didn't think there would be much of a difference but this guy on ebay tells me ottherwise.

they are the same...other than the cx throttle body is no larger than the barrel of a 9mm gun lol...so the rubber adapter wont fit from the ex/si kit, you would need a step down coupler

u can see the 2 different couplers in the pics the seller has for both kits

I believe there is one other difference, the ex/si has a side draft T-Body where as the CX and DX models both have top draft T-Bodies. Therefore the intake for the CX/DX models have a sharp down bend right where it enters the throttle body.

thats awsome, the guy i got it off of told me it wouldn't fit but i figured this was because i won the auction at like 13 bucks and he wanted more. thanks guys.
i also planned on buying a new filter for it. i was gonna go K&N but do you think that is a waste of money? should this one do just fine?

well i have heard the filters that come with cheap CAI kits are bad because theye are either made from nylon instead of cotton and they may allow dirt and chit through. i have also heard that some do not breath well at all. if i want to upgrade, is K&N my best bet?
