EF vs EG

EF vs EG
I was wondering if anyone had any comments concerning the performance potential between these two platforms. I have had 2 EGs but never an EF, and I was wondering if they are comparable. Can the EF handle the same abuse? Do they handle as well as EGs? Do they require extra stiffening to handle greater power? Any other comments? Thanks! I think I will soon be entering the EF world...

new>old true, however I have seen many track purpose CRXs & EF civics. I have also heard from people who perfer the EF. Lookin for more factual/experiential info here...
Also, why is the B16 best in an EG? My buddy has an SIR EG and it is slow. Is it because of where the motor is positioned or something?
Thanks

u drop a B16 in a EF and your flying but u drop a B16 in a EG ur NOT, EF's will always be faster then EG's weight ratio and the EF's came with racaro bucket seats lol

ef's are wayyyyy better. Barbones. What he said butt.........
Eg's have a sick tailgate thingy.
Eg's are the most modified honda on the planet
Eg's have a varity of lips and stuff for exterior
Eg's are hater-tech approved.
Eg's have hmodder.com
Ef's dont.
Ef's are still better. But for unforseen reasons.

Back in 1997 when i bought my 1992 hatch, i only cared about one thing: How much can i modify the car? The EG won because it has about as much aftermarket support in North America as a North American made car.
As far as power-to-weight.... how does the lightest CRX/EF compare to the CX (2094lbs by the books)?

I like the EG better because you can get a coupe, and it looks a lot nicer, motor swaps are extremely easy..versus those box hatchbacks
either way, if i didnt own an eg and i was looking for a civic
new > old
