a 98 is an EK
a 91 is an EF

so now your confusing everyone.

also your willing to **** the car up just so you can fit rims on?
why not just get proper rims.
unless they are 20 grand rims i dont think its worth doing it over.
unless ofcourse your just rolling the fenders.

I dont care how rare the rims are, severly modifing the fenders (especially on an old civic like that) to make a set of rims fit is stupid imo. Your telling me there isnt a single other set of rims out there that you wouldnt consider running on your EF? Rims that would actually fit properly. Im sure these Rail rims are the **** but dude they are 17's and will look horrid on an EF now matter what you do to it, and even if you find a way to lower it your gonna rub like a bastard even on rubber bands and you will probably will get hasseled by the police non stop for it. Personally I would never, ever run bigger the a 16 on my EF and even that is huge for the car, 15 is the best all around size IMO, not to big not to small plus there are many tire options for a 15 and you really dont have to worry about rubbing to much even when slammed down, plus there car will ride alot nicer on 15's, especially because you are not forced to run like 35 series tire, which are also quite expensive btw so be prepared for that if you do run your rims. I hope you will take into consideration what I have just said becaue I'm really just trying to help you out here man. PM me if you need any other advice.

lose the 17's buy some nice 90-91 SI swirls, get them polished

Boom, there you go

Nice wheels, and you are rolling a b18

Plus tires are very inexpesnive

Car looks alright with those rims but still not a fan of 17's on a ef. For the cost of having the fenders rolled you should just leave it the way is...

take the rims to a machine shop and get them to mill down the hub surface so the offset will be closer to a honda one...many people have had this done

you notice how your car drives like pooh and the steering wheel won't self-center anymore?? that's cuz of the offset. have them lathed down like matt said.

those wheels are off a VW prolly, and VWs generally use a 35 mm offset.

hey, i just wanna throw in a question for myself... what's the best offset for an EK, or 96 si to be more specific? i don't want to get the wrong offset and stuck out like that.... thanks =)

A decent set of wheels but definatley not worth the extensive modifications your thinking about, plus wtf are you gonna do if you decide to sell the car and want to keep the wheels, do you you know how retarted the car will look with fenders reshaped to fit a 17 with the OEM 13's or 14's back on the car? Dont do it man, you seem to have an ef in decent condition which is rare around these parts, please dont destroy it over a set of rims. If you want to do extensive body mods you may as well have just bought a rusty ef with a solid frame because you would have ended up cutting alot of the panels anyway.
