stay far away from them, lots of problems, and unreliability.

There was a post on this not too long ago. Someone had an E-bay turbo tuned by Zeeman and he was very satisfied with the initial results

Check this out, he didn't spend crazy cash on his turbo setup and is super happy with the results.
I know a bunch of people with the cheaper "ebay" turbo setups that have been going strong for quite some time.
It was when the first "ebay" turbo setups came out that were sort of crappy.

there are some success with the ebay turbo... its actually the turbo mani that needs some touch up... but for the price, and the cost of strengthening the turbo mani... i guess its worth a bet to some people...

personally, i would not buy from ebay... but i won't say its total garbage, just the odds are not too favorable to risk the money

You only read the bad reviews on products..

there are many people who have had great success with ebay turbo kits.. but without a doubt it's a risk. I would personally do it.. but I would have a back-up just in case..

I know a guy who made 300whp with a ssac kit (apprently)

The ebay turbo put out some good numbers
As long as you install it properly and don't just throw it on
Although the manifolds are strong i had a buddy run it on his h22 and he's running 300 whp @ 8 psi tuned by Nick @ *** NO - Tik
so its impresive what they can do but you have to make sure the install is mint.
He installed it himself and took the outmost care on it and its been working great so far

ive got one of those turbos,, it looks pretty good, starting my project very soon,, ill post up a build thread as soon as i learn to post pics lol. Like u said above if u install them correctly like prime them with oil b4 starting it up,, have solid tunning, and let them cool b4 shuttin the car off, it should perfom well.

My setup will consist of 89 crx si,, b16a1, DSMs, log manifold, 255 walbro, front mount intercooler, 2.5" turbo back with flowmaster muff, crome or turbo edit with street tune. Ill keep u guys posted!!

Company that advertise their packaged product on Ebay doesn't render the quality of "Ebay", but reflect their own. Mass produced for cheaper cost. Like a mass produced car vs. a hand built one.
