Interesting but important issues to discuss here guys. For me personally, I would not normally try to resist unless..unless the situation is right and meets the following criteria:
1. Only 1 bad guy involved.
2. He is not so big or tough looking.
And optional
3. The "dropping the key" trick distracts the person but only if I'm outside the car.

To elaborate on #3, being on the inside of car and trying to grab the person is really risky. There is a great chance, very great that the person can react in his favour, escape the hold and shoot you. Being outside, you can use all the Ultimate fighting techiniques like grabbing and kicking if you have the abilities - which I have some.

Your car is not risk your life as many have noted. It's an irony your car can not only kill you in accidents, but get you killed fighting for it. Anyways, these guys are caught and one of them is only 16..unbelievable. A 15 year old killed his whole family the other day, anyone heard, now that is as sick as the doctor evil.

^^ agreed, but even sitting inside the car you can pass the keys out the window and drop em, as he goes down for it open the door and ram it on his head. Its not about the car, its about will you let some p%^& with a gun run you down like a hoe.

there is self defence and not worth your life stuff, its better to do then don't, as long as you control the situation you will know the outcome, out of 10 of these guys 4 will shoot you even after they get what they want, i wouldn't take that chance.
