anyone actually thinks the robber is going to let you go grab the piece of metal to defend yourself. Even if you had a gun you ll probably be shot before you can go get it. It is foolish to even think you can use a piece of metal in a situation like that.

We all have insurance , most of us full coverage insurance , dont be fool and try to be a hero because it can cost you more than just a car.

The only thing that can work in this situation is if someone had a device install in their car that can be track by a satellite. I m not sure if those things even exist in canada. But it may be worth it for someone that has too much value in their car

These guys with the guns whether they are fake or not can steal hundreds of cars this way. There is no stopping somebody with guns. Forget trying to break into a car in the parking lot, this is extreme and effective I might say. Remember the other day some dude shot a man or rather a teen in the head and stole his Audi A6. Luckily for the guy he survived. Why the hell did he have to get shot when the thief got the car already.

This world is becoming more brutal as time goes by and there is no stopping these criminals. Even giving someone the keys to your car doesn't guarantee safety. What would any of you do and are any of you sort of equipped with a legal self defence 'weapon' in your car? I doubt it would be of use anyhow as a gun supersedes all.

PS. Oh yeah, just want to add that I may have been followed by a car while driving into a parking lot one time. I cannot say anymore of this as I am afraid of endangering myself as someone may be on this board.
Yes, I have a licensed smith & Wesson 9mm glock, can't carry it. might have to give it up, if the gun ban law comes into effect. sucks ***.

I also know how to precisely use shot guns, semi-automatic riffles, Mp15, X-frame revolvers i.e. "desert eagle" all from my uncle in Europe, and Asia, hunting.

I have a classic 1886 smith & Wesson revolver, tried to get here for an appraisal, but too much paper work.lol

as for "a legal self defence 'weapon' in your car".. ..yeah, I have one, but wouldn’t say its "legal".
it doesn’t matter, you life is much more valuable then if its legal or not.

never give, what the police will think, when you are at gun point you have 2 seconds to do something or either way you are dead, best defence, play along, pretend scared, its what the gun man wants you to feel, if not he will pull the trigger, last thing he wants is to get caught, get him as close to your window or you as possible, give him the keys slowly with your right hand.

as he's about to grab it from your hand, drop it, he will automatically in reflex go for the keys on the floor, as the keys are dropping, use you right arm to grab his wrist, flick back, use right arm bent elbow out right on his nose. This will cause the 1 of the 8-points of his nerve or energy point to get damaged, he will loose consciousness or if the blow is not hard enough, he will become disorientated for 5 seconds, all his body parts will stiffen, his hands will automatically let go of the gun, grab, the gun, while he's on the floor, point it at him at all times, call 911,....oh and don't forget to say, "how does it feel to be the bitch now"lol.

even though I saw its only materialistic, but if you feel its not the car but the blood money and sweat and effort that your fighting for you will win a battle.

yes you can, I keep 1/2 point full size wrench, in my driver door glove compartment. Anyone comes next to my window for a fight, I role down my window, and discreetly grab the wrench with my left arm, its not cool, but i got bullied alot from crazy gangster wannbe's out there, and men twice my age sometimes.

only used the wrench once, never again, causes to much damage, I use my extremely hard knuckles I got from kung-fu training.Works.

word of advice, guys go out there and learn self defence, you will be so much safer, no one could f with you, seriously, I learned of energy points where I can hit someone with one flick, and paralyse them for life.

As for someone being followed, be careful, I have noticed that to, many many times, I used to drive and noticed this 1995 ford explorer in my rear view for like one week, one day I got pissed, and I slowed down to 30km on a 60km, and that jeep slowed down too, and then just pulled in the centre made a u-turn and left, I was like" holy ish" since then I watch who is following me for how long, sometimes I have to make three or 4 rounds around my house, never go to my house until there is no car behind me or anywhere in my sight, gotta protec the family you know.

HKS, is right this world is getting evil, and more corrupt by the hour.

who saw the news of the Mississauga doctor, who was involved in a human body part crime ring, yuk, sick just for money, people could live among us with no remorse.

My dad told me about this 6 months ago, its not only this guy, there are hot 20 year old chicks out there too, looking for young guys to sex, and drug, and when the guy wakes up, he is in a tub full of ice, with a message written in lipstick on the bathroom mirror, "call 911, do not get out of the tub", the man calls 911, and the operator tells them the same thing, don't move, don't leave the ice tub, you just had you kidney removed.!!!!!!!

this planet is sick, and money made it sick.

that happened to me last year . I noticed a car following me , so i decided to take an odd route to see if it just just my imagination.

I seemed to lost the car following me , however he was still following me but not as close as before.

Since i know most of the streetsin sausa , i decided to take the car to a "no exit" street

Once we were there i got off my car and confronted the guy. He was a little scare but then he told me that he was taking a private investigator course in college and that he was just practicing.

I asked him for identification before calling the cops and it was true. Just to be on the safe side i remembered his name. We talked a little bit and he says it is normal for them (private investigators) to practice following cars .

i think it may be legal if you are actually taking some kind of police or private investigation class. Maybe not a 100% legal but a cop would most likely let it go and tell them to stop doing that with you

Although the whole point of them doing it is that you dont notice it , so i m guessing this guy was new or i m too smart to be follow lol

^^ they do, its available for $300 a year service, you can go - online, and login, and see what your car is up to, it uses the satalite, you can lock the doors, or limit the car to 120km turn it off on, and a lot more.

i can't remember though, if it was $300 per month or year.

3

if it is a year then it may be worth for someone that lives in a bad neighborhood or has too much value in their car . about 25 bucks a month

if it is 300 a month , hell not , way to expensive , unless i have a lambo or something like that

agree 100%. Money is something you can get back , your life is something money can not buy . Its also common sense , in one hand you put your life at risk and your car( because after they shoot you they will take your car) , on the other hand yes you loose your car (which you most likely loose anyways) but you can claim your insurance and most importantly you still have your life.

Unless you are some kind of martial art expert that has training in this situations , you shouldn't try to be a hero

i would think that this service is mostly given to celebrities, people in the government , millionaires. People that may be at risk of an attack or something like that.

Maybe in the future this service would be available for the average joe. I would think that insurance must be cheaper with this service

now THAT sounds practical. even easier, i'm sure it wouldnt cost too much to wire in an RF remote that sets off a timed fuel cutoff when activated. keep it in yer pocket and flick the switch when you're in safety range. hmmm... likely to get the car back in one piece too then, i mean, what are some carjackers going to do with a stolen car that suddenly stops in the middle of the street? they have to hoof it before a cop stops to see whats up
