i am so satisfied with the setup i went with. i have tokico illuminas with H&R sports shocks....the shocks are damping adjustable while the springs are 1.7 in the front and 1.5 in the rear....with the setting at medium to softest...the ride quality is at par with OEM.

i lowered with tein 2" drop, stock shocks my car is a 95 si coupe, and to be honest the ride is a lil bump on railroad tracks, but i also drive pretty crazy too ive been dropped or like 6 or more months now and everything is fine to me, i mean its not like terrible but its good, basically for the money i spent im happy ith the ride and look, if ur real picky about ride comfort then u gotta spend the money otherwise if looks/ride are 50/50% jus do it on stock shocks.

alot of people say they will blow, i talked to people who have been on for about 1 1/2 years and 2 years before. i think it will be fine with jus stock shocks, i drive pretty crazy and like i said mines is fine, if you cant afford it or or dont want to spend that much i say jus go with the lowering springs for now u can always upgrade later. i think when people saying ur shocks blowing its basically a rougher ride which in case mines is like or was after 1 or 2 weeks after lowering but its also fine for me it isnt that bad.
So basically ride is a lil bit more bouncy and rough in general but nothing like crazy, the only time u will really bounce is when u go over a huge bump at high speeds (ex. for me is 70-80 over a railroad crossing or a deep incline in the road or bump.) otherwise it is a stiffer ride and also a little bit more bouncy. my only complaint with lowering is that i have a fill lip kit on, front sides and rear lip, once in a while i will scrape my exhaust tip going over really bad speed bumps or goign up a really steep hill at like maybe 40 or faster which is fast depending on the incline or decline after being lowered. Primary problem is scrapin front lip, as it adds an extra 3-4 inches of lowering to the front and with the addition of a steep incline of driveway its a killer scrape about 1-3 times a week depending where im driving, and have cracked and rpaired my lipe 3 or so imes in 1 years time, so something else to consider if you end up adding lip kits etc to your car or have already heres a pic of my drop or the front area

I have/had Neuspeed sport springs on my 94 Integra for 3+ years paired with stock shocks without a problem. 2 of those years were spend in Kitchener and the last year has been in Toronto. With the road conditions in Toronto I can tell that my struts took a harder beating and I'm sure they would not last as long here as they would in other cities.
