Do you think Honda will ever make the CRX again?

If that's how a CRX "of today" would look then I'm all over it!! The current SiR hatchback can't even hold a candle to it! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... concept CRX...

those pics have been on the net for over a year.....they are photochoped and fake......as much as i love the CRX i really hope they never bring that name back again on another car......it could never do it justice as today getting a car to weight around 2000 pounds.........imo they should just leave the CRX to be remembered for what it was

I would hope that they did bring back the CRX.
Yes those pics have been around for a while but right now they're only a dream.
Although I would like IF they brought back the CRX for it to have a K series engine (say it weighed in at 2400lbs and had 160hp) it would be not too slow, but not too quick either.
Although I doubt Honda would bring back the CRX (doesn't fit in lineup and with insruance rate skyrocketing it won't help) which is why the CRX was axed in the 1st place as well as the Del Sol (3rd Gen CRX)
IF Honda did bring back the CRX I would be all over it, but I would keep my CRX I have now.

crxlover,
I totally disagree with you. I really want them to make a new crx. I would buy it and use it as a daily driver and store my old 89 crx and use it sparingly. The Honda lineup from (88-91) is what gave Honda its name and made it money. IMO, these were the best designed Hondas ever and they sold a lot of these cars in that time frame.Thats why Honda has it's name.
Look at the s2000. In the late '60's there used to be the s600. They brought it back and look how successful teh s2000 is..everyone who sees the car loves it, even though it's a bit expensive.

I agree with ya ROBM3, but realistically where would it fit in the lineup?
Also what to sell it at? I personally think realistically starting at like $21,000 would be alright with maybe a fully loaded one at about $26,000.
Say maybe toss in a K20, with 160hp? Anything more than that would be unrealistic, although the thought of one with the RSX-S engine would be awesome...
My understanding is that the "old timers" don't want a new CRX since they think all the kids are gonna get mouthy and dis the old CRX. Odd...
Anyways if it ever did come back, I'd buy the new CRX and drive it everyday and "preserve" my CRX I have now, would never see snow again.

in all honesty.... i would say the crx is gone
honda may come out with a really small sporty 2 door hatch sometime in the future, but the odds of it looking like a crx are small..... and being named a crx even smaller
as crxlover said.... just remember it for what it was

The honda insight was based on the crx. So I guess you could say it was their attempt(a very poor one) to bring back the crx. Would be nice to see someone do someting with one of those! ie. gut it, engine swap it and body mod it.
