Do you know me? Maybe you should check yourself before you randomly go around flaming people.
Driving in the "TEC" Means to those hardcore-ers, to drive with VTEC engaged meaning on a stock engine with VTEC, above 5500 RPM.
When shifting on a B16 with a stock transmission, if you redline the engine and then shift the RPM will drop but still stay above 5500 RPM, meaning you are still in VTEC. If you continually shift through the gears at red line, one can "stay in VTEC" all the way to top speed. This is driving in VTEC.

If SiR's do burn oil you gotta also consider most of the owners and how they drive them.
Many of the one's I've seen are driven like they just got stolen. Not a good thing for the engine.
Its one thing to drive like echien says, but another to drive like you're racing at every light, which is just not good on the engine.

And yes SilverCRXSi driving in VTEC all the time is not the greatest thing for the car.
That's why I don't do it all that often, but when I do, the engine smells like it's been under "heavy use".
I also short shift, especially when the gas gets really expensive.
I'm a guy of extreems.

I've had my Sir for 4 years now and have 80k on it and it does not burn oil. I do drive it hard at times but majority of the time it's babied. The oil is changed every 4000k so i think that will help it from burning oil.

My SiR is a 2000 with 48,000 kms on it and it doesn't burn any oil. Whenever I check the dipstick (not that often), the level is the same since the oil was changed...
The only reason it would burn oil is as everyone said:
1) the car was driven hard especially during the "break-in" period (the first 3,000 kms or so). OR
2) the initial oil from the factory was changed too early. Both are very dependant on the first owner. I am basically the first owner of my car so, no problems. Well, I am also a "mature" driver (that doesn't mean I don't like to use VTEC though) About the first oil change, it should NEVER be done before 5,000 kms. 6,000kms is actually better for Hondas. (I got this information from an engine Engineer from Honda) I got my first oil change at 6,000 kms and I have had synthetic oil in my car since it had 12,000 kms. The motor runs great and not a drop of oil burning.
