JSK, the 1996/97 CX had manual steering. I think by 98 PS was standard on all models.

is it a manual rack or did someone just disconnect the lines? I'm curious.

DX PS rack converted to non-PS has a better turning radius, so I read on H-T

so power steering was an option or package for 6th gen hatches?

(re: 6th gens hatches)
at first i thought all cx had no power steering, then i sound there were lots of cx with... So there are DX that came stock with no power steering?!

Re: Novadust, I have heard that at all, from what I understand the steering is 3.5 turns lock to lock on a powersteering rack.

You have or you have not?

I believe, PS is standard on DX trim 6th gen hatches. Because I did not order that option when I bought my car.
