OK, I just finished reading one of the threads AUTOBAS name change update, and I noticed that Zach jumped down PiNK's throat about how white people get ripped off there. Zach...love you and all but all she was trying to do was tell everyone there's a name change. I know you might have a bad experience there, and that's fair...but she's just doing her job by FYI'ing us.

Let's be honest here, no matter where you go, PAC MALL or not, if that store is catered to that ethnic group you will always get the better deal if you speak the language, that's a proven fact, not just with car stuff but even with groceries,clothes,etc. I've walked into a store and didn't speak polish, and I got quoted for a higher price than the woman who spoke polish...do I hate them? No...why? Because, us Chinese do it all the time...so do Italians, Portugese, Vietnamese, Polish, Filipinos, Spanish, etc. That's just how society is.

As for Ken's comment about his friend getting ripped off there, and how he only heard bad things about them.

I'm sure there are alot of rumours and gossip about alot of places, but as a TCC sponsor/affiliate it just doesn't sound right coming from you, because although you don't realize it, I think it could have been worded differently so it doesn't sound like you want people to go to YOU and not AUTOBAS for their car parts,etc. I have not used your services yet Ken (I'm sure you're Great!), and I really don't know what products/services you offer to TCC members (I'm just lazy and haven't read up on it ) but your post did sound a lil' scarcastic. I'm sure no harm was meant by it.

Regardless, of who has better service, etc...people will always go to the guy whose selling his **** the cheapest, human nature...we're cheapos. If people wanna go there, let them...it's a free market.

Now let's just say that STEPHEN's did have a bad rep (I've never heard anything), well think of this name change as a new start for them...try not to judge until you see the results, they might surprise you, they are obviously trying to make a change to improve their business.

It's nice to know both of you are looking out for people, and I'm sure everyone in TCC appreciates it, but sometimes negative feedback can be done without sounding like you're attacking the other person.

SGR and TCC have always had a great relationship, it would be a shame to dampen it over something as stupid and as small as this.

That's my 2 cents...any mods can feel free to close this thread, b/c I know alot of people who will wanna get in on this.
