Hi everyone I just need some feedback whether I got a good deal or not. I have a 03 civic dx-g which is the low shitty trim only a/c,keyless entry/118,000km. I traded it in for $7000, which is good right??? Well not only that I have a aem v2 intake, magnaflow catback, brembro blanks, hawk brake pads, tires, ALL WHICH I AM STRIPPING WITH OEM USED CRAP. The car has a bump on the hood and grill, no accident but little dents here and there.

Now with the $7000 I have taken it as a check and put it towards a loan to help my monthly flow. I am getting a Honda CR-V EX-L 4WD.

So now I am putting $0 down, paying list price and paying $593.76 for 48 months. I negociated for 6 free oil changes which is all im pretty much going to do with little brake work (private mechanic). I got the honda plus for the extra year which is only $14 more monthly so its ok. I never do get it but since its for my wife she gets roadside assistance.

So all in all I got a good return for my civic, and get to part it out save some more money and get 6 free oil changes. Maybe I should of pushed for autostarter and navi??? I feel ripped off...any thoughts anyone???

You would have been better off taking the $7000 and buying a car or whatever for that price range and not have a $600+loan every month??? Take the $600 every month and put it away untill you can afford a better ride and not have the hassle of a loan hanging over your head for the next 4 years??

Thanks...Im actually backing out and getting a used car. Makes more sense after I thought about it. LOL im notorious for editing, thanks to all for the advice.

7000 for an 03 is an ok deal i guess. You could of got more selling it privately. But 600 monthly for 4 years seems too much of a comminment for a car.

HOLY CRAP! $600 a month for a car!

It kills me how much ppl will shell out on a regular basis just to have a "new" car, vs buying a car a few years old and buying it out right and not having any debt for a car.

Saving $600 a month, for me, would be HUGE!

for 600 bucks you can get a bimmer 3 series for 39 mths and that includes all the oil changes and break jobs...

That MB lease isnt anything special. $583 plus tax, so figure almost $700 and the buy out at the end is probably huge. 18000k's a year is awfully low too. For 40 g's, there are alot nicer cars out there then a base model MB.

Now to the o/p... Was that price a lease or a finance? If it was a lease, what is the buyout? How much is interest? Its hard to say if that was a good deal without more info.

Driving a brand new car isnt cheap these days. Especially a CRV. When I was looking at them, I found them to be very expensive for what they were, a big AWD Civic. For the same price you can get a new Toyota Venza. They are also AWD, have way more hp, nicer inside and ride and drive excellent.

Thats funny cause i was looking at that Venza with the V6 engine option. They really did a good job with that vehicle. Like DumbasSi said, have a look at the Venza. Also if you were ever gonna sell it later, Toyota cars have a high resell value.

The Venza is priced very very well compared to most other SUV type vehicles outhere. Its more of a crossover really, being based on the Camry, but the CRV and the RAV4 are both based on cars too.

A loaded Venza is only a few grand more then a loaded CRV, but the Venza also comes with features and options the CRV doesnt and with 100 more hp.

If you can get past the goofy looking front gril of the Venza, its a very nice vehicle.
