I know quite a few girls who love their sol but I know even more guys that love and pamper their ride. I consider the car more appropriate for women ... It just looks like a good girly vehicle but obviously a lot of guys with huge exhausts think different. Or maybe they are just getting in touch with their female side ;-)

Actually it is a civic crx del sol ... and i.e. in Europe it was just a crx del sol. And hey it is not news to anyone that the sol is a civic ... goodness gracious it has en E-chassis code like all civics have.

And yes, I think most civics except for the 4D are cars ideal for women ... but hey, that is probably because I am a women and can envision myself owning one of the other civics.

I guess you could say that no particular car is a "chick car", however i do believe that some cars, generally "small" and "cute" cars, tend to appeal to women more than others. And that is what the del sol is....

and thats why people call it a chick car, because they always see women driving them...

being a chick car doens't make it good or bad, or that if your a male your more on the femin side, it simply means that you drive a car that is prefered by women...

if that bothers you, go buy something "manly" like a mustang or truck, otherwise enjoy your small, light (relatively), fun to drive car

Exactly.....the funny thing is....how "manly" do some of these guys feel in the their mustangs etc. when they get walked by a k20 powered or boosted del sol or hatch....hehe

any car can be a girl or guy car. a girl can own a ford F350 thats coloured hot pink inside and out as opposed to a guy owning a del sol or a bettle thats slammed with boost and painted black. however, cars, kitchen products, tvs, computers, bikes etc etc are all created and advertised to attract a certain market. i dont think that a car can be associated with a certain sex but instead a particular market i.e. car enthusiasts/honda enthusiasts, or even just a person looking for an affordable 2-seater....so i think its unisex cuz guys and girls drive and modify them

the mazdaspeed miata is a pretty hott car...was i goin to get one but my civic was a lil more practical and i couldnt find a miata as cheap as my civic . hey if your car is pink its cool to have a girl drivin it....if a guy is drivin a pink car....welll ummmmm.....i better stop here so i dont get booted off this site...lol

the 96+ ford taurus aka bubble car was designed with women in mind, ford did testing and women preferd the shape of ovals, so that's why everything on the car is a oval (bubble)
