dunno, but they probably looked at the fiasco of a show last year, what with the popo and the hour waiting in line on the side of the road to get in and said **** it, they knew people were prob pissed enuf to not go back ??..

I went to it 2 years ago and it was ok...police heat wasnt' to bad aslong as you werent' driving like an *******...but I didnt' go again cause it isnt' that good/ worth it

the "import scene" is gogin outta style...it isn't as cool knwo as it once was..before all the people/ kids were into it to be cool..and street race their "mad tite" cars

now people are jsut growing up...I mean TSR (toronto street racing) the website use to be huge and now it's jsut a bunch of dudes that were there 4 years ago still talking about the same ****...only losers...

do peoepl even street race anymore I mean only complete ***'s would even bother know...

cuz it was pure entrappment. run an import car show, and give out tickets as if they are ecstacy pills (everyone gets a couple ) when ppl are leaving.

plus the judging was absolutely ridiculous.

no one in their right mind was gonna go back.

thanks city of Markham

How much was parking and tickets last year, still a rip??plus whatever the cops give you cause that day was probably a dream come true for them, dam driving a import is expensive, paying the bank off, buying stuff for the car, and last paying off tickets cops hand out just for going to a coffe shop, oh well

WoW I didnt know they cancelled DKN, that really sucks. IMO it was the only show worth going to, minus the cops and poor judging. Just being part of it and spending time around all the people and nice cars was awesome. Hopefully something can be worked out.

ya.... the city pulled some **** sayin that they can't hold in the area of york... that's right from one of the title sponsors.. i know Meguiar's and Vibrant pulled out already for 2004 so that's the story... i knew that before, i just wanted to know what or if Innovative had any plans... we took up 8 cars in my group, came home with 5 trophies and 7 tickets... totalling $954
even still, we were all planning to come up again, but then again the tuner scene is our life... people don't have that kind of heart anymore.. and that is why the scene is dying...
i still hope someone will take it over, but u never know... i'd hate to see the Canadian scene to take this big of a loss

the only good thing i took from last years show was meeting a lot of tcc members.... i didn't drive my car up for obvious reasons but we took brisk20's stock crx... no tickets but then again the car totally stock....

i doubt i would have gone this year anyways....

Haha.

These were taken just after HWY 7. (we had just left the Mickey D's parking lot.)

and remember that street racing documentary on A&E a few years back that showed cops pullin over people right outside the gates of an even and there was Marko from Magnus sayin somethin like "they write all these tickets so they can win the microwave down at the station" or somethin to that affect. I wonder where I put that movie!?

I'll always remember that dick Fantino saying how much of a deterrent they were to street racing after the *** raping at Darknights. What a ******. Yeah, giving 17 year olds a 110 dollar ticket for a 4 inch banner. Bet GTA's 'finest' felt good about there 'career' that night...
