Darknights

Well, you guys are just on your way home after a long, hot day.

Just want to say how great the TCC section looked -- lots of little marquees and cool cars. Hell, even Al's car looked great

Lots of great looking cars, but Marty, you got that 7th Gen lookin' truly cool

It was nice to see everyone, but missed Neil and Jeff. Was surprised to see Neil's ride missing. Maybe I missed a thread?

Anyway, you guys cleaned up -- the Protoge group and Maxbimmer had large groups, too, but they looked a little in disaray compared to TCC. Well done. Again!!!

Hope tomorrow is a great day for you guys...

The maxbimmer group is always in disarray.

It's not run very well as a car club.....

Maybe, but they had that glorious M5. By far the best car in the show. Drop dead gorgeous

Oh yeah, there was also the Ferrari Spyder and the Benz SL 55.

They were pretty fine, too

TCC looked like the biggest club out in the show. Took up most of the back field. NICE JOB!!

From a newbie(2003LX) ... The good the bad, and the fugly!

HI!

For this old guy .... the woman!
Tons of cars, lots of ideas!
Very cool scale racing(man they fly!)
friendly people
overcast weather
Some very nice TCC cars

the bad

No "excuse me" I hate bad manners!
Poor parking, and very expensive entrance fee
no reentry without weekend pass
size! Made it tough to see all of the cars.
Not enough retailers demos.
stereos cranked up to deafen! The entrance to the inner track, so loud it hurt.

The fugly

Too much rice!!

I really wish our love for doing our cars up was more respected. The fact that people load up their cars with every sticker they can find, and put huge tails on their cars with no purpose other than to show off, scares me!! I don't think this will earn us any respect for other drivers.
I am a fan of doing things that will improve the driving experience. Do up your engine, make it fly. Better rims, tires, and suspension, hey gotta go around corners! Put a nice stereo in, we all spend lots of time in our cars we should enjoy it!
It's the superfluous stuff that bothers me. I guess that's what I consider RICE.

I guess some of it may be attributed to the fact that I just turned 35, but I prefer a more "sleeper" look, but that's just me.

GooGoo
Fact is, I'll be back next year. and I may have the nerve to become a member of TCC.
Sorry, I'm a little timid in person, You wouldn't assume that if you saw me!!

I agree with ya 100% Googoo, but thats what (most) people wanna see. The masses like the "rice" so thats what they do.

But I wonder how many completely vinyled out cars with PS2 and funky colour leather seating can you see? Thats the reason I haven't been to a show since Importfest last winter (which I thought sucked for the most part)

1 show every year or so is enough for me. Then again with a $20 entrance fee its all I can afford...

Hey, you must've liked my car then! It has no stickers (other than factory i-vtec) and hardly any spoiler. It's lowered a little and has CAI... It pretty much got snubbed by most spectators because there's no 'bling-bling' and it's one of those ugly new SiR's... but I'm proud of her and what I've done to her so far, and I'm the only one who knows what she'll look like in the future.

I'm a thirtysomething too

and I'm outta here tonight, cuz I'm ramblin on too much about shyt ppl don't wanna read. LOL

I think it comes down to whether you think something like a Chevy Impala SS is cool, or a chevy impala in a nice neutral colour with all the SS internals is cool!!

I say sleeper!

Nothing wrong with PS2 in car. I'm thinking about a low end widescreen LCD in the passenger sunvisor(legacyLM-71) with a PS2. Even just for the DVD playback.

GooGoo
Okay, a chevy SS with a BIG wing VS a beige Impala with the kit!
