crossed jumper cables

Well we boosted the civic. As the car was running my friend with the other car took his end off and accidentaly touched them together. My car shut-off and now won't start again. The car gets power just won't turn over. Any ideas????

Thanks

All the main fuses under the hood are fine. It was the first thing I checked. Is it possible I fried the main power wire that connects battery to the starter??

Guarenteed you fried the starter fuse. It's a 50A box fuse under the hood. Check it. I've fried mine about 5 times. They're expensive.

Well the starter fuse looks good to me. If the copper connector in the centre is still in tact that means its still good right??

you should use a multi-meter to check the fuxe for continuity. I wouldn't recommend trusting a visual inspection only

Well I put in a new fuse and still nothing. Do you guys think that maybe I fried the cable connecting the battery to the starter and fuse box???

If you have a 98-99, you may want to check the fuse for the distributor (15A - Red - Fuse No. 9) under the dash.
