Since this one will be my 100th post...I would like to post something special...

What kind of cop cars have you ever seen so far thru out Canada.

I've seen the following, some of them are rare and weired:

1. 4th Gen. Honda Civic H/B in Barrie (only seen once couple years ago)
2. 1st Gen Toyota RAV4 5drs in Guelph (a month ago)
3. Volvo S70 T5-SE in Burlington (3 months ago)
4. Ford Mustang GT in Calgary
5. Unmark Ford F150
6. Unmark Dodge RAM
7. Unmark Intrepid in Downtown Toronto
8. VW Beetle
9. Chevy Venture
10. Ford Explorer
11. Chevy Tahoe

-> the top three are the common ones

especially the new Chevy Impala's they are like a midnight blue and they have the "POLICE" writing in gray. And you could only see them when you are really really close to the vehicle.
These are the common ones I see

-> I got pulled over by a Jeep Cherokee before well 2 weeks ago to be exact.

Last Weekend I saw VW 1.8T with two cops

It's got to! Imagine it's little 106hp engine trying to catch up to a Lexus or something tearin' it down the 400?? lol

But if it didn't, then I'd imagine a whole lot of you trying to outrun it!

But to add to the thread, the Toronto police dept used to have a couple Chevy Camero's!!

No I don't think they have done anything to it....as I looked at its exhaust pipe, it still as small as a garden hose. I guess they don't use the Civic to do car chase...

Just like those RAV4 in Guelph...I bet that they would flip over if it's used to do car chase.

As for the Unmark Chevy Impala..they could be any colours..I'd seen the following colours:

1. Ugly Bright Green
2. Cream
3. Red
4. Brown
5. Gold
6. Navy Blue

The way I tell if it's an unmarked cop car are as follow:

1. 3 tiny Antennas (roof or trunk)

2. They have no dealer "emblem" nor "license frame" (for examples, those "downtown Chevy", "Halton Chevy")

3. The rims...they normally (90%) have black steel rims with center cap with chevy symbol.

Please keep the list going...cop car and how you identify them from far away.

Saw a Corvette once in Arizona (highway patrol). I also had the pleasure of being pulled over by an unmarked beat-up Chevy Beretta.

Not in Canada, but in the American mid-west they used a Porsche 962 GTP car as a highway pursuit vehicle.

Don't forget the dark tint, and the sun visors are always down (thats is where their red light flashes from)

I think that I've seen a white unmarked Impala on the 401 before so I'll add that to your list.

1. Ugly Bright Green

And also, don't forget that another way to identify the unmarked cop cars is their deeply tinted windows in order to hide all their flashing lights and of course, the cop driving the car!
