Complete tuned up or maintenance?
Hi,
First, I just bought this 93 coupe Si and i just wanted to know where i can get my car tuned up pretty good in a pretty good price? Second, under my carpet on the driver side (front & back) is always wet. Is there any way where i could get it fick and get my carpet change cuz this one smells like poop...lol
Thanks

honda dealerships are just as much crooks as your local shop... halton honda told me i needed a new alternator about 3 years ago... still using the one they said was broken
check out the affiliates on here cause they will all be reputable shops

a lot of dealerships are crooks...unless your pretty handy with a wrench, just get the OEM parts you need and put them on yourself. Then you learn about your car.
or if your not the DIY type of person. check out the affiliates as Rick stated...

A fuel filter is easy to change, same with sparkplugs. A distributor cap with somewhat harder. ie label plug wires
gasket? The valve cover... too easy
Adjusting valves? Well that can be a tough one for a beginner.
Note: A Honda dealership messed up an oil change on my SiR. I would except that sort of mess up from some stoner kid @ jiffy lube. Basicly I would avoid the dealership for any work that needs to be done.
Simple tune up stuff can be done with a repair manual, basic automotive tools, Honda OEM parts, and a hopefully sunny Saturday afteroon.

If you don't mind comming down to see me I can certainly help, although the free offer sounds pretty good, and learning how to do it yourself is good too. My web page is martinobrothers.com, or email me at info@martinobrothers.com. We do alot of work on honda's, mostly body conversions but I also have 2 licenced mechanics who love this stuff. The carpet moisture is pretty common...probably leeking through your firewall, or if you have a sun roof, the drain may be plugged. To come down, hang-out, show you our stuff and advise is free...but please remember, this is our job...not our hobby.. we are proffessionals, we do this for a living for over 50 years. I can help.

So how much excatly would cost me for the change of carpet and maybe a complete tune up?
