Colliseum Scarborough = SAFE?

Hey guys...

Just wondering if there have been any reported car break-ins or thefts at the Colliseum Scarborough movie theatre. I know Woodbridge is paranoia city, but the one in Scarborough is attached to a mall... is it safer here to park your car without any worries?

Based on the stories I have heard from my buddy that is a security guard at STC, I would have to say NO!

I don't think that many movie theatre parking lots are safe any more due to the high number of theft stories stemming from theatre parking lots. Since they know that you'll be inside for a couple of hours, I think that that's what attracts thieves to these lots.

I think that your car would not be any safe here as it would be in Woodbridge or anywhere else.

after having your arms and legs broken...i doubt you'll be able to move around and see who did it to you and get the cops after him

Way too much foot traffic to park near a movie theatre.. unless maybe if you were able to get a spot visable to the front enterance.. but good luck with that....

You guys are so paranoid. What's the point of a car if you can't drive it anywhere?

I drive to STC movie theatre cuz it's $9.25 for students. Cheaper than how much it is @ Queensway & Islington... so I might as well drive down there.

I park there often. I go probably once a week or once every two weeks to watch a flick.. and I've never had a problem. I've seen some really nice cars there. BMW M3s, M5s, Lexus, Z4, G35s.... and the list goes on. If these people were just as paranoid as you guys.. the entire parking lot there would be full of 1981s Pontiac beaters.

So relax.. otherwise you're gonna have a heart attack. Besides.. that's what insurance is for. If you're that worried about your car getting stolen.. get BOOMERANG.. If you worry about your rims getting jacked or your CF hoods being jacked... get a 2-way pager. If you worry about both.. GET BOTH. Now relax and enjoy the show.

do a search for Scarborough and stolen
and you'll see that 90% of the cars stolen from here were parked out that way

Rely on insurance, and you will be disapointed.....PERIOD.

Heaven forbid it happens to you at that mall.....you'd sing a different tune then.

I've heard of 6 cars being stolen from there over the past 2 years.......2 tegs (done), and the rest 5th gen's..(3 HB's and a coupe)......(3 done, one so-so done).

I can imagine all the others that have been stolen and I didn't hear about it.

Why do you think there's a police sub station in the mall?

Crime.

Need I say more?

I have a question......why don't you try going to the theaters up at 7 and Weston? Oh yeah that's right.....lots of theft up there too, and add the cops into the mix = NOT WORTH THE TIME/HASSLE/RISK.

I'd rather rent a movie and watch it at home.

My 2C's.

how about this, drive a crazy crazy car, supercharge it and show off for a good 20 minutes or so at STC or the one in woodbridge,

then park it and PRETEND your watching a movie pretend you bought tickets and go inside to washroom, come out in 2 minutes and then go to your car and see if anyone is look at it or something

Cuz if someone sees u showing off then they probably want ur car and will probably follow you in and make sure your watching the movie, right
