CAIs are legal. Cops will try to give you a bs ticket for them but, guess what, it's bullshit.

It is leagal because it is one of the option mod for the new Echo Hatchback.

Plus, it is an essential element of the car, to draw cleaner air for the engine. Can't be a bad thing.

Those cards only apply in the states.

I was told that as long as the pipe from the vavle cover is hooked up and connected to the intake pipe, and you have not bypassed ANY of the emmisions control devices, then you're fine.

read the paper again.

Those are CARB cetified intakes.

California Air Resources Board (CARB).

They pass the test that are set for the States. Read the paper again, and you'll see that its for the States ONLY.

That intake should of also come with a little sticker with a CARB # on it. These stickers are to be placed in a visible location so when the cops in the States pull you over, there won't be ANY confusion whether or not the aftermarket part you have on your car is legal or not.

I hope this type of certification system comes up here.....that way the cops would leave you alone as long as all the parts you've installed had these types of stickers in place.

Canada already copied the Drive Clean testing that the states do.....i just hope they do this as well.

Also, Thier Traffic Act is alot more detailed whe it comes to things done to a car....ie....lowering......rims.....lights....ect.

There are hardly ANY grey areas when it comes to these things.

Ie.....I think Calafornia has a set height that a car has to be......ie.....i think it's 22" from the ground to th cente of the headlight. Any lower than that, and you get a ticket.

No grey areas.

Hello Canadian goverment, when are we going to do this as well?
