I'm on my 4th EF (9 years of Civics), and I refuse to drive anything else. I'm currently in an '88 EF Sedan DX, and I love it to death. The simplicity, the lines and design, and the bewildered looks on peoples faces when I tell them I drive a 21 year old Civic with 300,000km is priceless...

...I work for BMW.

IF this EF ever dies, I'm planning a roadtrip to the southern states to find a "Mint" EF sedan that I can drive back to Canada and love for another 5 years... lol.

I had a EL that was fully loaded and done to the t!ts, complete with a bangin' B16A...

...and I sold it after 5 months, it just couldn't hold a flame to my EF.

So... are Civic's cool? ...The old ones are.

My brother had an eg sedan, and after 4 years said that he wanted something bigger and smoother. So got a volvo now its been 8 months and all the time he asks me to drive it cuz he misses his civic. Even though he's 24 he still likes civics and planning on getting another one in near future as a project. So, imo they are still cool.

Are Civic's still cool? That question is way too general... BUT, I feel no shame pulling up next to a BMW or G35 in my Civic. The problem is when you try to race everyone with your Civic and THINK it's cooler than anything else on the road, THEN a Civic is not cool... Modesty is important, if you have a clean civic and put alot of work into it and set it up just how you like it, that means you've created your personal idea of cool. I believe a tastefully modded Civic is cooler than a stock 3 series or a stock S2000 just for the fact that it's one of a kind and is done right.

Here's a question.... Name a "cool" car out there that a vast majority of people can purchase. You can't.... Cars nowadays are crap! Driving pleasure seems to be the last thing engineers think about when designing todays cars. Say what you will about the civic, but up untill 2000, the civic was (and still is in my opinion) one of the best cars out there. That aside, the tuning possibilities of these cars are endless. Do you think all the aftermarket companies out there, that have supported the civic over the years, would waste their time on an econobox? I love my civic.. Cool or not. I think that's the biggest problem with the Honda tuning scene... Too many people got into it in the first place, because it used to be the "cool" thing to do. I love the Honda Civic!!! and I really don't care if that's become uncool to say. Thank you for giving me this thread to vent a little.

I sold my bb6 and drive my winter car (98SI). I miss my SH to death, but the civic is almost maintenance free. And that's what's cool about my civic.
