neiser i understand what u mean, ill always love honda and especially the CRX, i love all sorts of cars, mainly older cars as todays cars dont really have any character or soul, I just love cars and motorsport in general and will never grow out of them, the people that will grow out of the "fad" are the people who never really cared about cars in the first place, the people who do exterior mods and show stuff, the true grassroots people always stick with the hobbie they love, i know i will

People who jumped on the bandwagon and saying that they will grow out of it is a little bit, well, "ahead" of themselves. Your love for such hobby, if strong enough, will be with you for the rest of your life - regardless what car you drive or what car you mod.

Buying a Civic for its economical reason, and buying a luxury car on the side and another fast car just to get a taste of 3 different type of cars in their stock form is one way of looking at it, and I know a person who is doing that. Having a completely modded car but later realize that he/she wants another brand of car and start a new project, that's cool too.

But having a car that is not even half close of a finish product but calling quit on it because one suddently grew a "conscience" and came to the realization that his/her car will be too slow regarless how much money is going to be invested don't really belong in the car hobby group. It is like, you are putting together a puzzle but half way you think 2000 pieces are a little too much for you, so you go back to the 50 pieces.

As for who will be driving their first car until mid age, time will tell.

LOL @ MY SiR's Engrish rant... nice to see you back Mark, you're always a great addition to any discussion!!

Like I said, no amount of modding will make you fall in love with a car. You gotta love it to begin with! Then any extra bit you put on makes you love it even more.

Yes but, whose to say your "finished product" would be defined the same as mine?

Some can say my car is complete. I literally swaped out everything that came original. However, I can think of many more mods that could be done. I lack the capacity to justify all that work and money.

there is no such thing as a finished product... you might have run out of money and can't afford more mods so someone might say its finished but its impossible to say its finished unless you won the lottery and just spent $40 000 moding up your civic... which is unless its a real race car and a damn good driver

from my perspective though i think theres something special about a car worth $6000 or so that can smoke most cars on the road that cost many times that

Then leave the bandwagon fool

I personally had no intention of jumping on the 'bandwagon' when I got my Civic. I did some small things and said screw it and started to do more. Do I regret it? Hell no, I loved that ol POS.

Go buy a DSM Torrey, you know you like crankwalk j/k
