the driver is no good...he's more focus on the other car cathing up(keeps looking on his side mirrors)...you gotta concentrate on what your is doing...but the v8 is more fully built than the civic!!! no chance!!!

Ah man why do kids like that have to race an unwinnable race! Now domestic guys are going to take this as their trophy that all domestics are better then imports. Would have been better to atleast see a nice v6 Import against the "mighty" V8

that kid was an idiot, does not know how to drive what so ever.
it would have been fun if its like skyline or supra or sti/impreza, or evo so many imports that would have killed that grand am.

^ its a firebird/trans am and no there isn't so many imports that would kill that......did you know a bone stock ls1 camaro ss/trans am ws6 run 12.8's stock with just a drag radial?...those cars are definatly not to be messed around with....also remember the rule of thumb, for every fast import theres 30 faster domestics

^ Imports, with the exception of cars like supra, skyline, were never built to be raced, most imports are small economy vehicles, domestics on the other hand were built to be fast. I mean a jeep cherokee srt8 with a hemi does 0 - 60 in 5 seconds, and probably weights a tonne. That race wasnt a right match, if it was a built supra or a skyline then it would be a better race.

i agree.. it wasn't a fair pair of import vs domestic... it was such a set up.... especialy with the civic.. come seriously... put a better import up againse that dangerious domestic... its like a high school athlete vs an olympic athlete.. sure they are both athletes and they are both into it.. but ****.. make it fair..

just curious what year ur talkin about with the ls1

my friend (well.. ex friend now) has an 88 firebird, 305 tuned port, automatic that ran 15.5's, and i stayed with him the whole way in my 89 hatch with dohc zc, 5speed with traction problems, and my best run was 15.6 lol

For every fast import there are 30 fast domestics......... I know its not your statement, but that is pretty stupid considering a BMW, Mercedes, Ferrarri, Lamborgini, Mclaren, Lotus, etc are still considered imports
