Civic specs

Im looking at autotrader.ca, and need some help as over here the classes of spec are different.

Can someone tell me which order they go in please.

Ie

cx,dx,sx,vx?? whatever it is.

And also any info on what was std for that model. Such as engine size, electric windows, s/r, etc

Thanks

if you are looking for a civic get an si, but if u dont wanna spend the extra money get a cx or dx

turbo_ricer 14-Aug-2003 05:45 AM

cheers dude

does the dx come with rear discs and leccy windows etc, or just the SI?

thx

your very lucky to find a civic with power windows... only like the ex's i know came with them.... and for the 5th generation only the Si hatch had rear disks... the only 6th gen to get rear disks was the SiR....

but that is all here.... is europe the cars are way better.... for you want to get a civic SiR hatch from 92-95.... or it might be called a VTi....

from highest to lowest... si, dx, cx, vx..

although vx was a super economy car that highly increased gas milage, few and far between as well

his all the specs from 88 an up

VX's are available in Canada. Just rare.
I've seen a few around.

someone down the street from me used to have one... i would put them above the cx though... it had the super light weight rims.... and all that jazz... technically though if one us buying a dx or cx its not for performance so in that respect the vx is right under the Si....

Get a cx or dx if your planning on a swap. The oly reason I would go for an SI is for the rear disk brakes, and sunroof. just my .02

imported_Cablerat 14-Aug-2003 01:08 PM

cx i low base model
dx has a few standard options like better quality interior, ps
Si is the highest model, with sunroof, pm

vx only came in 92 and 93. It's the lightest and most economical civic ever made.. and yes it is a d15z1(VTEC).

LX is 4 door base model
EX is 4 door top model (PW,PL,Sunroof,etc..)
EX-V came only in 92. It's the only 4 door with 4 wheel disc/abs(i think) and vtec.

hope that helps

Dude, i have one!!lol

The reason for my question is i want to know what to look out for when i move over there, just so ive got an idea of how much cash im gunna need.

I live in england, and have a VTi, the Sir is actually a different car.

Mine is a JDM version, so comes with rear discs, abs, lsd, pm,pw. ac, etc. with a 1.5 130hp engine.

The SIR comes with all that, but had a b16a2 jdm engine, which is 158bhp.

The uk VTi had the same B16a but no lsd.

Just FYI

Thanks to everyone for their info. Im gunna go for an SI, just need to find one that hasnt gone to the moon and back!lol

punkindrublic 15-Aug-2003 09:58 AM

good luck on that... mine has 285 000 kms... motor is still kicken....
