Civic rim fitment, need help

Hello

I have an 86 civic hatchback, and i wanted to know, how big of a rim would fit on my car?
where can i find out?
(looking to buy a 16 inch 7.5)

An 86? I'd say a 15" with a 205 tire would probably look nice, but a 16 would also look good.A 7.5 might be too wide unless you use a lower offset wheel. Anything bigger will look dumb IMO.

17" looks rather silly on 3rd gens especially with those little rinky dink brakes

get 15's, maybe a nice set of SiR rims, with 205/50/15, I think that would look really good, but if you have to go with 16's, than get 16x7, with maybe like 205/40/16 tires.
