Civic ek acura el swap
 

Hey guys. New to the forumz need help from guys that have done 1.6el swaps to their ek. Anyone ever swapped the rear end from the 1.6el onto the ek. I know it's not a bolt on application and would require extensive modification but curious if anyone has done this or has pictures of it completed.

what exactly are you trying to transfer over? the rear of the body or the brakes? The body, if we're talking about a sedan EK is just the tail lights and the trunk, done. Brakes you need to swap the entire trailing arm over along with the disc brakes, parking brake cables and flex lines. You also need to swap the prop valve

I'm curious if anyone has ever done the tailight swap on a coupe. Looking for pictures and my main concern is I know I will have to cut the acura tailight pockets out and weld them in but does anyone know if once I do that does the trunk line up.
