civic/crx question

i have an 89 civic si, and i was just wondering if anyone knows if there are any modifications to be done to put an 89 crx si dash in my car or if it is a straigh bolt on. thanx for the help

They should be the same since the 4G Civic/CRX are essentially the same chassis.
I didnt know there were any differences though.

There are a few differences and it should just bolt right in as far as I know. I've had a 91 civic hatch and an 89 and 91 crx.

I have seen the crx dash in a EF civic....looks pretty sweet. Cantonagod has started you off in the right direction...the best thing is to check the service manuals for both and then you can find out other differences. I have the chilton's manual for the EF civic and it may include the crx, I will have to check. I can bring it to the meet on Wednesday if you wish to look at it

I will most likely be around 94EG6HB...as my car is at home and still is in the progress of having some interior work done too....he describes himself as the tall bald white guy...although that doesn't help much as there is a few that fit that description....he also has a red eg hatchback....I'm sure if you come we can locate each other. I'll bring the book tonite

ok no prob, give me your name and ill ask around for you, and what time will you be there around, if you see me ill be in a 4th gen civic with metallic blue paint with white powdercoated rims, you wont miss me. thanx again

Crap got paged and couldn't make the meet. How is next wednesday? As long as the group doesn't move it to Flin Flon Manitoba then I should be there....

EF CRX dash in an EF Civic is a direct bolt on. The only thing is the heater controls. You'll probably want to keep your civic ones, because I've heard that trying to wireup the CRX one is a bitch.
