CIAS Opinions
So I went to the Auto Show today with one of my friends, I gotta say it was a pretty decent show, IMO worth the 18 bucks.
A lot of new concepts and really nice cars. The Mazda booth was awesome, all the new RX-8s (especially the XMen2 RX-8) and the concepts, the import revolution had a nice showing, saw daquel's (hope I got that right) civic representin', oh and the pacer SiR.
I got a bunch of pics of the Sti and the Murcielago from the North Building, but I figure no one wants me to spoil the show for them so I won't post em.
So once you go post what you thought of the show here

I must agree with Greg. It was a good show. Well worth it. I find the calibre of the show gets better and better every year. I have been to other "World Class" auto shows (NAIAS - North American International Auto Show in Detroit and Tokyo Motor Show) and I must admit Toronto is right up there.
This year for press day, GM had Bob Lutz (Don't worry if you don't know him. He only used to be the President of Chysler and is responsible for bringing over the GTO from Australia...) come here and Toyota got an Engineer from Japan to unveil the new Sienna. Honda didn't have anyone from abroad come over but I know the Honda Engineers were there working hard "undercover"....

I just got back from the show...it was good but i liked last years better. I was really hoping that I would get the chance to sit an S2000, I never got the chance because the doors were locked...
Some highlights were: G35 Coupe, RX-8 (suicide doors), the 2004 Mustang, Maserati (as seen in the Jay-Z video), and the Z4.
Thinking about going again, to take more pics....it was really busy today (sat).

Yup - I went today too but it seems as though I was not as impressed as you guys. Still good to kill a couple of hours but after a while I just feel like I loitering in a dealership... that's about the time I go home.
Too many people too...cattle.

I agree, in spite of the cost, it was a good show. Me and my buddy went down on Saturday evening. Some nice concepts and nice to see some of the cars soon to be coming out (ie. WRX Sti, Mazda RX-8, Acura TSX). If you collect model cars you will also enjoy the show as there are tons of vendors on the 100 level of the dome with pretty good prices.

Ya, I love the ECHO, even the current ones (the coupes), but I've been hoping for a hatchback version for a while now. Maybe I get that for a daily driver, and convince my dad to get an Element.
