well I'd spend a bit less (like $3-4K) and get a 98-00 model, it's the newest 'good' civic and will give you a bit of a budget to do some maintenance or mods to it. the 01-02 civics had an issue with the auto tranny and front shocks as far as I know, and 03+ civics are out of your price range. or look at getting a 1st gen CRV?

listen with 5.5 THOUSAND dollars you can get a much better car than a 2000 civic look for a 2001 integra LS those are faster power everything and can smash a stock civic :P

or you could go the other route and buy a 95 civic and do it up lol

find a friend with a dealer's license and you can get a fairly new civic for that price at wholesale.

Bah! Most EGs for under 5g's are buckets. Unless the bodies are mint and they have a decent swap under the hood, they are nothing more then winter beaters.

For 5 grand, buy a nice 96-00 EK hatch if you want to mod it or an Si if you want something decently equipped with options.

You want find much in a 2001+ for that price.

anything from 88-00 lol
depending on whether you like ef/eg/ek
should look for a good body. even though the motor has more km's its easier/cheaper to swap another stock motor in instead of body work.

i have a 95 dx coupe with d15b swap into it. black gsr leathers, 98xxx on the motor, immaculate condition, 100% nothing wrong with it. Lots of extras...want to buy something newer and need downpayment. check linky http://www.torontocivics.com/tccv5forums/t7981/ if you're interested. willing to let it go for $4800 as i would like to put down payment of $4500. the extra $300 will just encourage me to take the wife out for a nice dinner.

pm or call if interested 647-668-1441 jeron

Why don't you go to SOLD AUCTION DIRECT and buy a car on auction. Save money and have at least a grand left for mods or what ever. www.soldauctiondirect.ca
