it is ok to drive with 5w 30 but i like to stick to the honda book and it states that 5w30 should be used only below 0 and 10w 30 is good from -20 to 32 degrees you can even go with 10w40 which says good from -20 to way past 40 degrees.. i'ld go with 10w30 and take 5w30 in the winter

Use jack stands to raise your car.

As for the oil....stick to what your owners manual says.

well i push my car...so i dun think conventional oil would do...cuz thats meant for ppl who drive their cars normally without abusing it...

but i kinda push it to redline and stuff...so standard oil wont do the job i dun think...anyone recommend oil that could withstand abuse and not become thin and burn

oil burning doesn't have anything to do with the actual oil but the condition of your piston rings amongst other things...

but if u push ur car consistently eventually thats gonna wear something down
i want oil that will withstand and keep the pistons running fine with no friction

i thik im going to go with SYNTHETIC BLEND...
but does it matter what kind of OIL i put?

should i just take it in to the dealer and have them do it and pay that extra $...or do it myself? the car is still warrantied but im sure the warranty will not cover oil changes..

plz plz advise

no honda recommends every 5000km or every 3 months whichever comes first.

and where you change your oil doesn't void the warrenty just make sure that you have the maintanence light reset
