Caught someone scratching up my car!!!

fukkkk i'm so pissed!!!
oke this is what happend
i was working at second cup and my car was parked at the back. In the middle of work, i get this warning beep from my pager. Then i quickly dashed out to the back and see what made the alarm give warning single..and What do i see!!??
Some Oil delivery guy pulling his oil hose over my hood!!
it was scraping my hood up with his dirty hose ...it's like wiping your car with a cloth with sand!! his partner sees me so he trys to take it off my hood and pretend nothign happened! i just went straight up to him and said
"So which one of you scratched my fukin hood up?" his partner says "check with the guy downstairs" so i wait for this ****** to come up and then i asked him why you put the hose on top of my hood..and he said he didn't!! BS!! i told him i had a pager alarm and it tells me everything of what ever is touched on my car..and then he admits that he did it.
So i took his company name and number down and called them. They call me back to tell me to call my insurance. and they said they will contact there insurance..I have no idea what to do in this situation.
can anyone give some good sugestion?

The hood has scratch marks all over , i can't feel the deepness but you can clearly see it

I don't think there's much else you can do, other than call your insurance company.

Did you get the employees' names, so you could complain about them specifically?

you won't have to pay anything..
that's what you pay insurance for, for them to deal with it now..

your company will tell you how to get it repaired, and then go after their company to close the deal..

I say either get a quote from a shop on how much it'll cost and ask them if they wanna settle it that way(the store) or ask them if they wanna go through insurance. Try and get more than what it'll cost. lol

If I saw someone doing that to my car I'd freak out!
Make them pay dude!

I would save going to insurance as a last resort effort.

Go back to the company, stick it to them
1) Keep a record of all communication between the company and you
2) Make a stink with everyone in the company that you can.
The company is liable for the conduct of its employees.
3) Write a letter stating a dollar value for what you want to be compensated, $1500 sounds very reasonable in my books.
In the letter state that:
If a response is not issued within 48 hours of the receipt of the letter, legal consul has advised you to pursue damages against the company for their failure to be responsible for the conduct of the their employees.

It would cost the company way more than $1500 to hire a lawyer to fight this case or to provide arbitration.

You should get the $1500 and it won't affect your claim record.

ya i felt like bashing the guy's face in when i saw that
but i controlled my anger and just screamed at him.
i called them back and gave them some quotes on fixing them and they agreed to pay. i guess they relized what they were gonna get themselves into with insurance with there accident.
and the guy that did it is going to get fired is what the manager told me. serves him right to be a ignorant person!

yeah you should make the other company pay and if they do you wouldn't even have to go through insurance and your premuims won't go up at all. Yeah just stick it to them and make them pay for their ignorance.

Talking Pager Alarm!!!

hey Dennis, look on the brighter side, at least you had a pager alarm to warn you that something was happening, if you didn't they would of done it and you wouldn't have known about it.

So the boss from the other company came in today and i gave him the reciept for repairing the hood (got a full free detail to my car lol..got the guy to write the full detail job for just the hood on the reciept) and he paid for it and was really nice about it. he said sorry and everything.
Hmmm now to take some nice shinny pics of the car hehe

You might have to end up paying for deductable. Hope you don't but I think you might have too. You could write a letter to the better business bureau about the way that company conducted itself with regards to your situation, and you might be able to charge them with vandelism. Speak to your local police station about that one.

If that happened to me, i would've just called the cops so that there would be a record of occurrence..

Reasoning for this??

Since your personal vehicle has been vandalised, and that the two who committed this offence for what ever reasons ie: ignorance, accidentally, etc. were present, they would be taking it up with the cops.

Now since the cops are involved, the insurance company will have nothing to say about it except to provide the cost of the damages or a payout to you.

Now for what Daquel had mentioned about "watch your back!" and "revenge!" (I don't mean to worry you), but if there were to be something that happens the cops could always look back on what happen earlier for "Motive."

How i said earlier,"a record of occurrence." that's how i would handle this..
