Carstar= USELESS!

if anyone here ever needs to get bodywork done

NEVER EVER EVER go to carstar
they're are ******* useless there

i got smoked by an escalade, and i brought it into a carstar to get my bumpers remoulded, a fender replaced, and the car repainted

they said it would take a week

.........its been a month+ a week

and its gonna take another week

.................. so now i get to spend another week's worth of $ on taxis, buses, rides, etc.

**** YOU CARSTAR! :fustrated :fustrated

Just an FYI, most of the CARSTAR locations are independent franchises (I know this because I worked for head office as a designer for 2 years).

Not all of them are going to be like the one you're talking about. And there is a number you can call to complain to as well.

I got a beef against car star too... well at least the location that my insurance company recommended me too.

They did a **** poor job on my integra.

I got rear ended and all they needed to do was replace the bumper skin and the rebar and bumper cushion.

I was a little more ignorant then and got a quote for $300 and since it was going through insurance and my insurance company was good to me, I said what the hey I'll save thema couple bucks.

The ended up patching the bumperskin and puttying back together... cracks appeared a month later on all the seems they patched... and I have no idea what else...

My advice, better safe than sorry, go to a shop that you can trust and you've seen their work...

Its worth knowing who you want to fix your car if you ever get in an accident. Because if you don't... well you'll find out.

dopey..
more info please regarding location/owner/shop head etc..
we gotta get a "DO NOT" thread going here one of these days..
tho i think we'd need a "private" private area for it..

anyways..the carstar i've dealt with (numerous times i might add) has been nothing but prompt and reliable in the past..no BS..and a great price quoted and met..
