Cars stolen in Durham region (Whitby) watch out....

Supposedly 7 were stolen I only knew 2 of them that were.

My buddies 91 celica red civic SI hatch was stolen right from his driveway without a trace and his muffler is loud trust me. no forced entry! they stole his clear lights, bumper lights, clear corners, full interior seats in mint cond, dash in mint, cluster, deck, intake filter, spark plug wires, 5" autometer sport comp in silver with shift light with a few scratches on the top and no bracket to hold it down, although might have a new bracket on it not sure if he installed it. They tried to get the exhaust off too but couldnt its hanging. If anyone sees any of this stuff coming up for sale can you PM me!

As well a 97 purple civic CX with the words Civic23 on the windshield was stolen... dont have any details on it.

Friggin hate theifs!!!

At least they left the brand new paint jobbed celica reds civic body in good condition!

bah!

watch out keep your cars locked away they found it in scarborough so its people from there!

damn bastards, hope someone catches these ******* and cut there necks off.
did any of these vehicles have alarms installed on them. Thieves usually go for the cars without alarms b/c it's easy and simple to grab it.

no alarms on either of them..... alarms help to a point it all depends if its a professional theif or a bad theif..... professionals can get around alarms..... idiots cant

i was thinking up a good idea with a buddy of mine.... you know how cars have tow hooks on them at the back? i know mine does like a little small one under the bumper... WHAT if you had a thick *** heavy duty chain that connected to the garage securely and then at night u attached it to the tow hook with a hectic lock and then cover it with some stuff lying around.

when the theif goes to pull or drive it away.... it gets stuck and pulls the garage and makes noise or dosent let him move.... then by that you'd hear him tryin to drive away gives u time to get out there with a bat or knife and get the sucker!

haha

i dunno what u guys think but i like that idea

someone needs to make like a neighborhood watch type thing but for cars.... we need to stand up to theifs fight back!

my .02 cents!

i think thieves would be smart enuff to notice that the car is tied up or something, and if i was a thieve, id be smart enuff to walk away quickly if i pull down someones garage while trying to steal their car. its worth a try i guess.

that's exactley why they were stolen, an alarm is not to expensive a couple hundred bucks you can get a cheap one instead of getting thousands of dollars stolen. When i got my car it got broken into the first week i had it and i put an alarm in a week later (aug 2001) and for over a year now it has never been touched and it has tons of more work done to it since it got broken into.
1'st thing you should do is put an alarm before the mods, just my thoughts.

yup an alarm is a cheap theft deterent its worth it because as well for an example.... i was in mcdonalds eating one day and i heard my alarm go off i go outside and this girl is getting outta her car and her door is slamming up againts the side of my car and hitting the side mouldings and shes completely clueless so i run up to her im like "did you just hit my car?!" shes like no no no im like look and i pointed ot the marks on the side moulding but i just let it go..... but still that pissed me off and i would have never known who did it unless my alarm had gone off while i was eating
