You will never win from insurance company. With the rates nowadays, I say just keep it low profile, get your car replaced and leave it as is. Cause even though it is not your fault that your car was stolen, it still goes on your record. And anything minor things on your record won't help future rates.

From Pickering to Woodbridge? **** those guys sure drove far enough to get away from the heats.

If I were you, I will just report the case, and say you have like a deck on the car and that's about it. No illegal mods, no nothing. Just a plain Civic. You will get the value of your car, plus the deck if you still have the receipt.

That way, the insurance company won't think your car is stolen because it is too flashy but because it is just not your day. You see what I am saying?

If you claim, then they know you are a modder. The muffler you can say your old one was shot and the shop recommanded a better one. And that's about it.

Like I say, you will never win from insurance company because say IF you do get your money back (car + mods), trust me, they will increase your rates like there is no tomorrow and get it back from you. And it is all on files, linked with other insurance company. By then, you think your rates are way too high and you wanna switch? Sure go ahead but they will find out from your old records and trust me, it is gonna be even higher.

I did a test with some other insurance companies, just to see how my rate would look from another company's perspective. And it went to 560 a MONTH!. Records? Only 2 stolen decks and one minor accident which no one was involved, just car slide off road.

you'll be fuct anyways, so claim everything you had... nothing about that is illegal... besides you gotta pay the deductable, so this way hopefully you get the most out of it.

let this be a lesson not to drive around pounding your system from now on... not the whole block needs to hear what you are listening to.

i have to remind myself of that sometimes, but that's when i'm happy that i get to park indoors in my garage!

that sux george, i hope everything works out, i'd try to claim everything, but i doubt that they'll give you much for all your other parts cuz you didn't give them receipts, i know they cover car audio, but as far as other stuff i have no idea, you might be out of luck....

seems strange to me that they'd steal a car that's not that heavliy modded.... maybe those are the easier targets?? i donno
