Car Stolen!!!

Not mine,
but my dad came home today and said that our neighbours' (2 doors down) had their car stolen. It was a silver teg. a newer one (99+) i think. I don't really know them, but my sister knew the family I think. Apparently taken right from the driveway! Holy damn, now I'm afraid cause I park outside as well.

Thiefs suck

Hide in your trunk with a shot gun and wait...

You could be the street vigilante...

Seriously though, a web cam with motion sense works for me...

Less than $100 providing you have a recent computer...

Just set to capture when something moves infront of your car...

Fuel cut off switch Sam?????

Take out back seat...

The draw from the pump is 6.5 AMPS...

USE A 10 AMP switch...

cut the yellow/green wire...

Use 20 Guage multistranded wire run to switch..

Other ends to cut yellow green wires...

Make sure you hide switch in good spot...

Make a jumper wire incase switch dies ...

Keep jumper wire with Tire Jack..

Enjoy...

Having a switch on the fuel cut off, wont' really help you that much.

They can drive up with a tow trunk and grab your car, in about 2 minutes or less.

That is true...

If they want it they WILL get it...

Several layers of defence are better than one...

And we aren't talking about the 5% of professional theives...

Its the 95% of amateurs that we can stop...

I can steal my Honda or your's in under 1 minute...

But by putting these devices(ALARM/CLUB/FUEL CUTOFF/IGNITION CUTOFF/IMMOBILIZER) in we increase the time it will take to steal it...

Making it less appealling and more of a heat score...

I'd rather have my car broken into rather than just missing...

Lots of punk teenagers in my area. Hate to say.. I live in an Italian neighbourhood (and I'm not italian). These punks go around bending sign posts and starting fights at parties in this neighbourhood but I haven't heard anything about them jacking cars yet. lol:fustrated

Fuel cut off switch is a good idea, but what if they decide to tow your car away? That's what a lot of them are doing now as well.
Best thing to do is hook up some hidden surveilance cameras outside directly pointing all all the cars on the driveway and in different angles

Yeah but if your home, I think you would hear if a tow truck was in your drive way.
