damn that's crazy...

any pics? i'm curious to see what happened, like if i punched a hole in anything? or the tire? it'd have to exit somewhere wouldn't it?? ... i thought the rubber tires would insulate the car... i guess not eh...

Why go through insurance, find out from Brett how much it cost, we get a discount on parts being paid members.

your hood? i would've figured the roof for sure... too bad u dont' have a pic of it happening, that'd be insane!

I don't think all insurance policies cover Acts of God, but i could be mistaken... maybe yours does

The insurance company would not be able to prove it was an act of god though.

Why does your god go around shooting lightning bolts at people's cars? He's either bored and destructive.. or he's taken some bribes from car insurance companies.

Correction: Your tires act as an insulator. It kept the car from being grounded when you got struck my lightning. Ever noticed that you can hold on to the negative or positive side of a battery with a wrench and not get shocked? well, try it by taking the wrench and putting one end on the negative terminal and the other on the positive terminal ...sparks and the shock of your life. If you car wasn't on your tires...like you were running on bare rims, you'd be fried to a crisp. LOL.

Btw, you know those strips that some people have that hang under the rear bumper and it looks like it touches the ground? Those are grounding rods...suppose to keep static electricity at bay...but, if lightning stuck that car, it'd be on fire.....LOL...I laugh and am afraid of cars with those things....LOL

Cheers,
Buddah.

for the reason buddah mentioned, remove the NEGATIVE battery terminal first always, if you accidentally hit the chassis with your wrench while removing the positive terminal you won't get shocked. if you try removing the positive terminal first and you hit the chassis by accident, you'll prolly melt the wrench and burn your hand maybe

as for lightning... damn, anyone know what the odds are??? like for real, what are the odds of getting hit by lightning?

I heard the odds in getting struck by lighting is better than winning the the lotto.

Maybe you should buy a lotto ticket.

u know wha imma think abt the lotto..lol..jus might win and if i do...big as party jus for TCC members..lol....yea but the good thing is i wasnt in the car..i was inside watchin a movie and my alarm started goin off....got a pager alarm thas how i know and i ran out jus to see a big black mark on top of my hood...but as i said i guess all that waxing paid off....lol...i jus wiped the black marks off and i was good to go..started the car and everything worked until i turned the headlights they where burnt out....so i guess i am lucky and 1 in a million...now we can say we got a TCC member whose car was struck by lighting...lets see if any other clubs can say that..lol

P.S. still lookin for the wiring harness for the headlights...called honda they offered me aftermarket ones for like 15 bucks each...but a different bulb style too..not the civic ones...dont know gonna go chek it 2omorrow...could some one find out the prices for me for oem ones...thas would be greatly appreciated.

that dont make sense cuz in the same theory you're odds of gettin rained on on a rainy day are better than winning the lottery. So on that same token you should go out and buy a lottery ticket on that rainy day u get rained on.

thanks
