Car disclosure
I recently bought a car from a small dealership. He told me that as part of the new law all vehicle history should be disclosed to the buyer, so he told that the car wasnt used as police cruiser, or daily rental nor flooded. When I went to the nissan dealer to register for my warranty they told me that the car was used for commercial use (They are not sure if what kind of commercial use). I was so upset due to the fact that dealer did not disclose this information and my car is making a weird noise recently on 80km. Is there a law that state that they should disclose the car for any commercial use?
The car came from montreal is there a way to run a vehicle history and contact the owner ? |

The car came from montreal is there a way to run a vehicle history and contact the owner ? I can't speak for disclosure on being a commercial vehicle......But just the fact that the car came from Montreal is a red flag to me. You try running a CarProof report and see what history pops up. |
Whats wrong with a car from Montreal?

Or...go to mto and get used vehicle package. That will tell you the previous owners name. If it has a company name, look into it. The used vehicle package costs 20$...
Moreover, I think you can get your money back. If dealer refuses, contact ministry of transportation, they will give you an idea of what you can do. |

Ever hear of a "zipper" car? Quebec is known in some circles as the zipper car capital of Canada. A zipper car is two wrecks welded together. The cars get sent back out on the road and unsuspecting buyers dont have a clue about the potential death trap they bought. |
I thought the UVIP is only for ontario?

I'm fairly certain they only have to disclose if it was a cop car or a taxi... I could be wrong tho.
Cars from Montreal are just the worst... the worst. |
